The problem is the bankers themselves.How can banks allow customers to congest the banking hall and forming a long line in the banking hall whereby you notice some people sitting or loitering in the banking hall doing nothing and the security guys there will be looking for a customer that will tip them some money instead of the security monitoring they have been contracted to handle.

Also, the way banks now recruit staff by hiring contract staffs has been a major problem. Most of the security guys at the banks are under contract and has been under paid. You see them begging for tips instead of the jobs they are to do.

These set of staff could plan and give out sensitive information on those withdrawing large sum of money from the bank. When you go to some banks, you can see people making calls inside the banking hall and nobody challenges them. That should be a security risk.

Something must be done by The Central Bank and The Nigerian Institute of Bankers to call these banks to order and advise them to stop employing any bank staff as a contract staff.

My wife had similar experience in 2007 as she was entering her car. Funny enough, she was robbed by three ladies with guns.

Same thing happened to my dad. He had even boarded a bus and they entered looking for him and pinpointed him specifically! Leads me to the conclusion that they have partners within the bank either working there and feeding them info or disguising as customers and observing others.

It is folly to carry such amount of money around,nothing explains that not that I blame her but I say how in this time of the world can one brandish cash. It's risky,the stress involved when you can sit under an airconditioned room and do your transactions with your token.

It's not as easy as you think hun...same happened to my mum few weeks ago just as she left the banking hall, both guys came on an okada, whilst one rode the bike, the other apprehended her asking her for the money. at first she asked which money but by the time he brought out a gun, she surrendered all the money and he still had the guts to ask her for more, which made her empty her bag before him, before he left and joined his accomplice. It was after the whole scenario, passers by started consoling her. All these happened in broad daylight. Hence, if you were there what do you think you would have possibly done huh

This same tin happened to my wife yesterday when I sent her to withdraw 230,000 naira in which I wanted to use in paying for my house rent, shop rent and also buy food stuff in the house for Christmas and also buy some goods in my shop.

My pple since yesterday my whole life has not been the same
