this man is destined to destroy osun state. we warned them back then not to vote for him they refused, they are the one suffering it now. the last time I was there is April and I don't know the next time I'm going there. let them enjoy the suffering, it's what they asked for. this is a lesson for other state, don't be sentimental while voting. |

The courts are there for redress. It takes a trail and procedure brfore JAMB would agree to delist the institutions. Why the noise after the deed has already been done. It takes more than one man to have this reverse made. The whole delisting and cutting off could be reversed by the state lawmakers if there is the will to do so. There is a way to have things done. Until I hear of this case being in court or an impeachment move against the man I would believe the people of osun are perfectly satisfied with him. |

Engineer123:this is just the beginning. most Nigerians were deceived because of propaganda from politicians about party not knowing it's a tool to lure them. Apc and Pdp are birds of the same feather flocking together. |

The fact is ... Osun state is broke because Federal allocation is all Osun state depend on. Osun has very minimal resources. The Federal government itself is broke, as 90% of our revenue is oil. Oil price went from $140 to $43- less than a 3rd of what it used to be! There is no reserve as this has been stolen long ago. Under Jonathan, oil price was at an all-time high (over $100 consistently), but he increased our external debt from about $4b to 10b and depleted national reserve he met to $38b from $63b left by Obasanjo. Nigeria is broke, we are just lucky to have sensible people running the Federal government, otherwise things will be much worse. Nobody - APC, PDP, PPP or whatever will be able to run that state without inflicting some pains. These institutions cannot run as they are, you need money to run them, and there is none! I do not support any particular party, just want the best for Osun and Nigeria |

I was home in Osun last month and things are terrible. I don't think we should blame the people who voted him as they were fed with deceit that Jonathan caused the states misfortune through mismanagement which the governor always claims and people weren't sure of the PDP either. Imagine a state spending 90% of what it's getting on debt servicing. I can't really imagine how state Assembly approved those loans. The real truth for whoever cares to listen is that any governor who after 4 years gives excuses is a failure. It would have been different if the government is just coming on board. For me even if you will sell off the state with your crew, at least negotiate a good deal. I would expect any reasonable government to take responsibility after 2 years not blaming everything and everybody except yourself. I believe we have allowed the worst of us to rule over us and thats what we're reaping. Even till now, the government at the center seem to be after corrupt people, meanwhile, the war on corruption is a diversion and the President needs to be careful. I personally don't believe the President is a saint. The FG can't win it with the same system we operate. Mr President should have first put things in place so as to ensure the accused if truly they are corrupt cannot out smart the structure not using the same template for war against corruption that has always failed. I advise people to please rise against sentiment and politics of bread and butter. Propaganda can only thrive when we allow ourselves to be deceived. We Nigerians seldom know our right and we follow these people blindly. Fashola had openly before the election said generating 20,000 megawatts within 4 years wasn't rocket science but today he is saying 2,000. We could use Greece as an example, the prime minister made promises and after getting elected saw he couldn't fulfill resigned and recontested again by making fresh promises and won again. Isn't that awesome? You need to see Mr. Governor's son's mansion. I don't have a problem with that though, but building such now with the current situation of the state in the capital is quite insensitive. God bless Nigeria. God bless me. God bless you all. |

Hope the State university won't be shut down sha! It's just the beginning of fall in demand for oil globally, and four higher institutions are being closed down. Anyway real Osun indigenes are not complaining. All the policies seem to go down well with the people. |

Engineer123:Yea. when the right one comes you will know. don't be surprised that those smaller parties that contested have more qualified candidates than pdp vs apc but we foolishly voted the other candidates because of popularity. |

Osun state poly, iree osun state college of tech ESA oke osun state college of education, ila orangun Osun state college of education ilesa. osun state university Lautech jointly owned by Osun and Oyo state. and some few colleges I may not remember. How can a state like osun finance these, not even Lagos has this number of schools. My sympathy to those offered admission, but he needs to merge these schools. Imagine having two state colleges of education, who still attends college of education. How can osun finance two universities. I think it truly needs restructuring. |

Why don't they go to court to preserve the status quo while they negotiate? Aregbesola is obviously a lunatic, but even beyond the issue of his mental incapacity is the fact that 90% of the states in this country shouldnt even be in existence, but for the ignorance of those thugs in uniform who ruled Nigeria all these decades. Nothing short of giving each tribe in Nigeria a state of their own will satisfy the aspirations of selfish politicians, and the proliferation of states each with its own corrupt bureaucratic machine has been the biggest drain on our resources as a nation. |

Amorl:I don't care what the restructuring means but whatever it mean for a state government to go as far as asking JAMB to delist its own institutions not one but four. It can never be anything political. No one no matter how crazy or desperate will ever go to such length to check mate his political enemy. So forget it being political. And please tell us how else do you think they can go about it that the state government wouldn't have considered or do you think the school is not a source of income generation to the state. Same way it is in all Nigerian state. Now tell me at this critical stage of the economy when the country and especially the state is broke will they throw away an income generating opportunity just to score a cheap political point. We need to start analysing things critically before jumping into conclusion and politicising things. I don't think you've ever being to those schools. Or do you think its a coincidence that the state governor and the most paramount king in the state are graduates of the same school from another state while the state has the highest number of institutions. Why not from their own institution. Once again ask yourself, what will make a state government to ask JAMB to delist four of its own institution. atinukedam:Only a fool will think the way you just did. Using the administration of man to compare to Gods'. Even if I pray that God should manage your life the way Adeboye is managing RCCG, it is still a curse. Stop thinking like a 2year old you're getting old. Nicepoker:You obviously need it more. |

HzRF:You're an internet analyst. I won't argue with a dead brain, its of no use but if your state happens to be one of the poorest with the highest number of civil servants and public (even private) institutions yet your state governor and most paramount King are products of another institution from another state, maybe, just maybe your brain will boot to understand that those schools are nothing but glorified secondary schools. |
