Several people were injured on Sunday as the Kaduna Music Festival ended in violence.

Police fired teargas and shot into the air as some attendees engaged security operatives in a scuffle at the event organised by the Kaduna State Government.

The violence started as the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Shagali, gave his closing remarks, a PREMIUM TIMES reporter at the scene said.

Some youth jumped on the stage and threw sticks and bottles at the police. The motive of the youth is not yet clear.

Expected, such is against their belief and they will do anything to show their grievances.

Attending such festival sef is a risk on its own, but the violence recorded is a normal one, just like any other carnival.

PMB regime needs God intervention, what the wished GEJ is nw back firing on them. When Buhari visited Kaduna state for the convocation and the music festival, I never saw the over zealous youths during the campaign again. No youths went to welcome him, pple did nt even stand on the roads side to welcome him. My prayer is that another neutral party apart from PDP should come and rescue us from this dictator of a president. Ever since PMB came into power, human right abuse is on the increase. Democracy is at a blink. May God protect my family and urs throughout this pharaoh regime in Nigeria.
