A lot of Nigerians joyfully drive 2000 model cars yet these thieves are telling us that cars bought last year June are 'sooooo old'. I am actually waiting for what ObamaNikoro-senate committee chairman on twitter will say abt this one.
He's been talking about electric cars and renewable energy; if he is serious about his claims, he should advocate that the new vehicles be EV.

When it comes to maintaining the luxury life of government officials, the issue of empty treasury and low crude oil price will not be mentioned, but when it comes to paying poor civil servants their hard earned salary, the same government officials will be singing empty treasury and low crude oil price like a song....

I believed this action calls for a peaceful protest. Many more Nigerians may lose their jobs next year and these criminals are still contemplating buying new cars. God forbid they succeed in this action.

I'm loving this APC government the more. If it is to be the defeated party, no explanation will pop out cuz it's gonna be straight to action. I think it's high time they start seeking people opinion before embarking on any project.

i don't know the level of authenticity of your claims, but if you are correct then i think something is wrong somewhere. Does it mean that all these assets were gotten from private business? Why then is he getting himself involved in Politics? to serve the Nation ? I doubt if it is....
Surely it must be Power or he is bidding to get MORE MONEY. For what? haba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All these are enough to feed several generations of his clan.
Anyway at the end of it all, VANITY UPON VANITY. I hope he is helping the poor ones .

Now that every body has agreed that we are being taking for a ride by our government. So what are we going to do about it.

This is the first topic on nairaland that we have agreed on unanimously. the issue of money gets every blood boiling.

Are we just going to ignored this and carry on talking about tonto dike, d banj? And all the other irrelevant yeyebrities while our future are been frittered away by our so call leaders.

Nigerian youths are cowards they are only interested in fighting themselves and joining stupid cults to scare innocent people or decieving themselves by claiming to be musician/rapper while their stomach and pocket is empty.

Shame on nigerian youths. I think its time to chase them crazy bald heads out of the town angry

Governors are turning states to their private companies and pay salaries when they like. They should be at our mercy but we're always at theirs. Yet, some of us are simply As*Lick*rs

I'm ashamed that the so called progressive senators in the Senate like Shehu Sanni are not speaking out against this insensitive spending by the Senate! If they go ahead with the purchase, then labour and civil societies should mobilise Nigerians against subsidy removal and any planned sack of workers in any part of the country. Indeed, the IDPs should be mobilised to occupy the national assembly! This vehicle purchase should be halted as it is satanic, insensitive, selfish, ungodly, crazy, unhealthy, opportunistic, hypocritical, inhuman, despotic, greedy, anti-christ, anti-change and a rape of the treasury! For God's sake, it is not expedient even if lawful, and so, should be jettisoned in the interest of the nation experiencing economic difficulties presently!

the Governors also think they are clever treating us like morons by using the media to keep us glued to our TVs, smart phones and laptops down loading and watching irrelevant bullshi'ts like, big brother, foot balls games and latest rap musics, or the new clothing lines like low waist trousers grin
And creating insecurities, paranoia, tribalism and hate amongst ourselves thereby diverting attention from their looting of our funds.

Its easy to control the masses by creating fear in them and making them poorer and uneducated, Hence poor qualities of nigerian education system and lack of payment to teachers, sicknesses and poor health care system. So when they decides to give us pittance or crumbs from their rich food tables we will be grateful.
Even though its our entitlements and deserves more.

How can all 109 senators be in committees, i thought committee membership is only for select senators. Even the Americans that we are copying their system don't buy official cars for all their 100 senators , maybe the leadership but not every rank and file senator. This will be in the news for a day or two more, until everybody moves on onto the next breaking news.
