I can only see a man resisting an arrest and forcefully being put in a bus, can't see any beating in this part of the video may be in another part. Law is our problem and the solution to our problem.

If a man steals a phone worth of #5000 we give him maximum shishi (jungle justice) like no ones business and probably take him to police station to continue with his "deserved punishment" but if police handles top politician who made away or mismanaged our billions we call it abuse of fundamental right.....may God help us.
You said it all

This has got to be the funniest video of 2015 Nigerian politics. In 2014, it was chei there is God oooo, in 2015, it is 'Im not going anywhere'...
Nigerian police and SSS have a special training in grappling stubborn people by the waist. Once their hand is fully tucked in your waist, you know your centre of gravity is in their hands. The rest is just a matter of pull and drag.
Oga Nimasa, I no pity you at all. When you were swallowing billions, you no remember Nigerians.
Sai baba jor! More criminals will be handled like this or worse.
IN case you have forgotten, this new EFCC chairman no dey smile. He is a terror to thieves and looters.
Abi oooo, I love the way the man is operating, Someone who is so wicked to have render the country backward will not be deal with simple hand.. They need iron fist.. I love the way EFCC is working now... abeg make una come probe me oooo if i am found guilty make una come arrest me and if i argue with uan make una maltreat me..

If he was granted bail, then it is absolutely wrong for agents of the state to whisk him away forcefully. If the man stole public funds he must be prosecuted. What I would not support is when human rights start being trampled upon. Some people are happy cos they feel he stole therefore h should be treated anyhow. Our security agents should not be allowed to start feeling above the law, the law should guide every strata of the society. If people's rights are trampled upon in a dictatorial manner, they will start revolting

Rough handle ko. So when he says he is not going any where, thy should beg him for another 5 hours.
Abi oo maybe they should start begging him to arrest him, I swear i blame the police and the SSS for this, They should have handcuff his hands back and also handcuff his legs and let see if he wont enter the Bus easily.

They should av damaged him before putting him in the bus.

His Lawyers were there so why didn't they tell him to respect himself, enter the bus and they take it up from there.

At least we have started from Year 1 out of the 5000 years. I wont be surprised if you don't even have data to watch the video.

Mild force is applicable any where in the world if you resist arrest.

Lawyers and their everlasting LIES. "He was thorougly beaten" grin grin grin End time LIARS. Is there another video where he was thouroughly beaten ?

NB : 13Billion was approved for NIMASA University and paid while less than 300Million got to the Owners of the land.
lawyers and their exagerrations of course regarding the "beating him up" but I would also like you to look at the part where it was said he was on bail. he shouldnt have been re-arrested. although he also shouldnt resist arrest even if unlawful. he should rather seek a counter redress
Re: Patrick Akpobolokemi Bundled Into A Van By Security Operatives - Video by soropee: 10:31am On Dec 15, 2015
Impunity is when a man is granted bail from two different courts & security operatives comes in front of a court to harass him in the name of arrest. Whereas some of us aren't seeing anything wrong in the act.

Where is the law that states all men are innocent until proven guilty in a competent court of jurisdiction?

It is hightime,we abrace ourselves rightly. This isn't the right way a sane society should functions!

point of correction, there is never a time anyone should loss his/her human right even when you are find guilty. Human right extends to people in prison I guess you didn't even know what human right means. Next time learn to talk to people without insulting them.

APC & Buhary abusing the rule of law in the name of fighting corruption.

You don't fight corruption by harassing people and infringing on their fundamental human right.

Only time will tell.

If this is how to fight corruption, then Nigeria as a country still need 5,000 YEARS to start fighting corruption. - SMH undecided
to me, I see nothing wrong with that. He had his lawyers present and he should have calmly complied if his hands were clean. I believe this is fair, considering the level of allegation against him. These things happen in America too. Not to be racist, many black radicals refuse arrest for fear of the known.
No one will be indicted in this cos' he refused to comply with the authority. This is what we really need in Nigeria, cos' some ppl act above the law. If this is what it takes to clean up radicals, then so be it

Except he was beaten after he has been whisked away, from clips I watched nobody was beaten except that someone was resisting to enter the bus. Secondly, I heard someone screaming "I know my right and I will not go anywhere" Another in the background was saying "this is Nigeria" When the looting was going on, non of the alleged looters remember the rights of the victims. Now it is time to give account, suddenly they remember their own human right.

It is well.

Wating to see EFCC to arrest Emir Lamido Sanusi and not going to his palace to ask him questions.
oduastates:
Over $500 billion of Nigerian money is stashed by her thieving leaders.
Hopefully we will see more of this.
That is,the treament of criminals like criminals.
The criminal came to court dressed like a tout.
The attorney general ought to have made an example of a few corrupt judges first.
The magnitude of the crime seems to be lost on them.
A few pastors, imams and judges in prison will send a powerful message across the country.

I heard one of the lawyers saying that they had an arrest warrant. So why are they aiding and abetting him resisting an arrest? By law those lawyers are equally liable to be arrested and charged.
I know how unlawful Nigeria security forces can be but in this instance, they have not done anything wrong. They only applies a legally allowed force to enforced an arrest when the man with aid of his lawyers physically resisted an arrest that has a legal warrant.
If you are still looking for change, look no further. There is no longer safe haven for looters association of Nigeria. There will always be thieves but the difference is, if you are caught, you will be treated as a criminal should.

A good look at the video shows breach of Nigerian law; whether you like it or not a lawless leader cannot fight corruption or any form of lawlessness for that matter!! What make a country a democracy is not just social freedoms but freedoms guaranteed by law; the moment the law guarantees nothing, it is a dictatorship!!

First and foremost, why did the people come plain clothed?? One would have expected that they would have come with crested/labelled vests - just like the one they use to lead Dokpesi in court, red labelled EFCC or Black labelled SSS or DSS - but because they know what they are about to do is illegal, they came plain clothed without vests!!

If they wanted to arrest the Ex-DG - properly and in accordance with Nigerian Law - all they needed to do was walk up to him, identify themselves and arrest him and state the reason for his arrest!!

The lawyer said men believed to be SSS - proof that they refused to properly identify themselves because they have no basis to carry out that arrest!! I also watched this on channels TV and nowhere was an attempt made by the men to identify themselves or properly arrest him!!

As a citizen of this dear country, resisting arrest is a crime; but so is abduction - or illegal/abusive arrest - the EFCC and SSS are more or less under the control of the presidency and a good look at Buhari's past record in government in the 80's is a bad sign!!

If Buhari & Osibanjo are smart, they will quickly condemn this act and order for a change of such actions otherwise, they will just end-up making a mess of this country!!

That incident was shown on channels TV, which airs on at least 3 continent!! That's will adversely affect our image, image misconstrued by foreign investors that he is busy junketing about the country to find!

God help Nigeria.............
