You guys have never taken to Mourinho; with the benefit of hindsight, seeing the total package that he brings, would you guys have touched him with a long pole from the outset?

If I didn't know any better, I'd be questioning how you can loathe someone who has contributed in no small measure to the recent successes of the Club this much.

The coach is the common denominator in the 2 cases. This tells us this is a problem with the coach not the players

Mourinho's methods are not for everyone and not everybody will like him. That's not new.
The issue here is that his subordinates are so powerful that they can undermine him if they feel they don't like him or his methods.
Ferguson was known to be very harsh to his players. He even used boot to bust David Beckham's head...Yet not one single player could dare go to the club chairman and threaten to walk if SAF wasn't fired like Sergio Ramos and Casillas did. Ferguson would not keep mention 'betrayal' and 'rats' to the media...He would have slaughtered the offending players like ileya meat.
That's because Ferguson had something that only Arsene Wenger has in football today - The complete and utter backing of the board.
No other manager in the world has that. And someone as abrasive as Mourinho definitely needs the boards backing 200%.
The man came to win. Not to make friends with his boys....
Football is probably the only industry where you can sack your line manager if you don't like him...

Speaking of line managers...mine is now away till the new year. I can now remove my tie and maximise my incognito window . Just imagine if I could sack him for the tone of some of his emails...

His methods are simply to fight every single person around. He wins by making enemies. But when there are no more enemies to make you turn inwards and turn your own staffs into enemies

Actually in Madrid history since I started following football, No madrid coach was given the type of control Mourinho had. Mourinho sacked Jorge Valdano a former player, former coach and Director. Perez got rid of Valdano for Mourinho. Thats as big as it gets

In his first time in England he fought every single person, later turned on his team

In Italy his first job was to figt every single person and coach which was one of the reasons he had to leave immediately

In madrid he fought opponents, Management, players, referees

Need I remind you he was one of the reasons Andres frisk retired because death threats were sent to the best referee in Europe

He came to Chelsea picked up from where he started fought everyone outside, later came inside fought his own staff for treating players, fought the media, fought the FA now his own players

Ferguson despite his own ego was still loved by most of his ex-players, loved by the club and even respected by other coaches

I wont doubt it if Mourinho stopped eating at the cafeteria for believing someone would try to poison him
