Again, this NL thread can be easily found via Google and other search engines. Not so for the WhatsApp group. Lastly, any solutions proffered and issues discussed here can easily be seen by a new comer. S/he only has to go to the appropriate page. For the WhatsApp group however, all solutions proffered BEFORE you're added are lost to you, and the group members will have to keep saying the same thing time and time again. Who won't get tired of such monotony?

Please proceed bro, I did not study Computer Science either, and there are several people here who studied other courses like, Georgraphy, Biochemistry, Physics, just anything man, even if you studied Yoruba you can still apply.

You've got no problem iphiy. As long as you can learn the what you're supposed to learn (which isn't draconian), you're good to go. Besides, every field needs programmers, so proceed and be the one for your field. In my own case, I'm a physicist.

@ checkmateman: I 'speak' Python already. Learned it from one crazy, brain-tasking and rewarding course on edX that was offered by MIT. (If you want to check out the course later, I can provide you with a link to it.) What's more, I now have a promise by jacob05 to help out where possible. I think you should latch on to that too. However, my major drawback is that I can't feasibly apply yet because I'm three months to the end of my service year in Akwa Ibom.

Yes it does bro, but in one of their FAQs, they said: "If you applied for Class XIII, the Home Study Test link will be e-mailed to you soon, after which you will have a COUPLE OF DAYS to take the test..." That's the source of my confusion

A couple of days could still mean up until the15th of January. The FAQs were made long b4 the homestudy test link for class XIII was sent if am not mistaken.

Probably its not difficult to learn, but I have to make use of the ones I already learn. If I didn't get into andela, that doesn't mean I'm not better. And I'm going to be unveiling my website which will showcase some javascript and php plugins, so success for you guys, see you at the top

Don't get scared. Take it one at a time. I suggest you click on the codecademy link in the homestudy to get started. You can start with the HTML part. At the end, you will discover that it is not as hard as you think.

I agree with you on this. I will like to appeal to current Andela fellows (Erza, Toystars, Ramos16 and others) to PLEASE help keep this thread alive. From previous experiences, whatsapp groups do not last long before people lose interest or start posting irrelevant discussions. Also, it can only accommodate 100 people, whereas Nairaland has no limit to the number of people who have access to the information posted here.

I believe the advantage of keeping this thread alive far outweighs that of creating Whatsapp groups. Thank you
