Keeping To Speed Limits. by Nobody: 7:33pm On Dec 18, 2015
How does one ensure he/she keeps to prescribed speed limits?

I observe that no matter how hard I try, I always drive excessively above normal limits. I grow bored when i drive too slow.

Insights especially from people living in places where there are strict regulations will be highly appreciated.

definitely you will comply after a couple of fines and bail out.
I stay in nigeria here, most times I do almost the speed limit of such roads, I tend to wonder if the engineers were high when putting the signs

You are right. I hardly obey those ridiculous road side speed limit signs but according to FRSC regulations, the prescribed limits by road type are:
Built-up areas: 50 km/h.
Less-populated areas: 80 km/h.
Highways: 100 km/h.
Is it even possible to comply with these?

there was a time I saw 60km/h on a highway, checking my speedometer I was on 140km/h. I tried to imagine why speed limit sign was @ that spot in the first place.

Speed limit in Lagos is sometimes trash, I see 80km/h and I just laugh, people would think you are a dunce if you obey it, infact you end up getting tons of "swear" and may eventually get your car damaged. If you think am lying watch out for how lagosians stunt infront of any car pasted with L (learner sign).

My speed limit with family is 80km, my speed limit personally is 100km, with a very stable car I do 140km+ if the terrain grants it. But my speed limit in NFS mosted is 300km/h in a SLR McLaren Stay outta my way grin
