Already BH is defeated, they can't overrun military bases as they used to during Jonathan again. Soft attacks can happen anywhere in the world e.g @recent France attack

Heard of Remote sensing? I guess not unless you studied geology and and appreciate the use of aerial photographs. It's not movie bro, it's technology and it brings out the effectiveness of a system. The numerous lives lost in the last ambush would've been averted with a single drone flight on the route with real time data relay to advancing convoy. So you think the army signal corps should sit by archaic radios while you've your gsm with 4g lte. Let's ask google if Dasuki bought the cameras.

You have said it all .. Till we stop sending our boys to battle like NURTW fighters then we will make real progress.. Till now Nigeria doesn't have any aircraft that can hit targets on the ground..The Alpha jet can on bring its noisy ramjet engine to battle but can't kill anything on the ground because its munition is not precise

Employing machinery is sometimes dangerous, because it can result into something called friendly fire. this same scenario happen in January during the intense military occupation in Borno, remember that machineries were involved - i got this info in a documentary on YouTube.

How can a friendly fire occur, this can can occur when the machineries fail to recognized friendly unit approaching and were made to believed that the enemy can also were camouflage...

I believed in NA, we should let them used their intel to solve our internal problem this will help improve their capability

The Defence Headquarters on Friday, December 18, announced the restructuring of its fight against the Boko Haram insurgents.

According to Rabe Abubakar, the military’s director of Defence Information, the Operation Lafiya Dole in the Northeast, which is at the forefront of the battle, has been repositioned to make it more efficient and effective in the discharge of its assigned tasks of crushing the Boko Haram sect, Premium Times reports.

To this regard, a new Theatre Commander has been appointed for Operation Lafiya Dole and he is Major General Hassan Umoru.

Umoru who was the general officer commanding, 3 Division Nigerian Army, is succeeding Yusha’u Mahmood Abubakar, a Major General, who was appointed four months ago.

The Defence Headquarters however did not state why Abubakar was removed.

Also appointed is the Deputy Theatre Commander who is Major General Lucky Irabor.

A statement from Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar reads: “The changes are part of the reorganisation by the Defence Headquarters in line with the force restructuring of its operations to attain the overall objectives of the Chief of Defence Staff.

“The aim of this new development is to re-strategize and inject new tactics to the existing operational procedures with the aim of finally knocking out the terrorists who now devised means of hitting soft targets through suicide bombings and isolated attacks on remote villages.

“Operation Lafiya Dole will continue to be responsive until all elements of terrorists are finally crushed.”

Naij.com recalls that a deadline of December was given to the military by President Muhammadu Buhari to end the activities of Boko Haram terrorists in the northeast.
