It's absolutely wrong and unbiblical, from Acts 2:3-4. which states "And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.". You can infer that it's the Holy Spirit that gave the utterances, even when Paul laid hand, it was the Holy Spirit that did the work... Acts 19:6 "And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."... Instead of focusing on discouraging their followers from sinful practices that could prevent them from receiving the Holy Spirit,they'd rather embark on wild goose chase and make them sin more ... |
