A couple of years ago my wife started bugging me about going back to Nigeria. I tried all i could to make her realise that it would be a horrible mistake. She would have none of it. Then I started showing her front page stories on Nairaland. After a couple of horror stories she had a change of heart. There so much death and destruction a person's mind can take. Thanks Nairaland for helping me out and seun especially.

Men! This is Lagos, everyone minds their own business...unfortunately. I once saw a robbery around Anthony Village bridge in Lagos, in broad day light. This guys were going from car to car. They approached this girl in her brand new Toyota Corolla, but the girl didn't wind down her glass...and she swerved the car here and there, till she was free, and zoomed off before they could break her glass. I was planning to park and help if I they succeeded in breaking her glass, but then again, I considered the fact that I was carrying my pregnant sister and her two kids at the time...So, I don't think I would have been able to help her, cos I wouldn't want to put my own people in danger.

Quite a number of cars were robbed in traffic last at Mile 2, Lagos last night. This lady and her mum were robbed and she was also beaten by the robbers. See more photos after the cut...

That Mile 2 bridge area is one of the most dangerous places in Lagos. I remember when I used to go and see one girl around that area, my heart is always pounding whenever I am leaving at night. That place is almost as dangerous as Upper Iweka area of Onitcha at night.

This is a big lie... I pass that place every night (11pm) and nothing like that happens. Stop creating panic when there is none. People can be robbed anywhere.

This happened only yesterday and I believe it could happen anywhere. In fact, bus-stops in Lagos are not safe at night. You can pass there when you like and stop praying for something bad to happen to you. You have been taking that route without a problem, why say such now that a little robbery just occurred?

My dear thats the most annoying aspect,in lagos, all other road users will either start looking for a way to save their heads or completely ignore the victim.

have bin a victim, jst few boyz, i was battling alone with these boyz, while other road users just ignored.

Similar incident in warri, i got down from my car, sum1 help me park my car by the road side, while others help me ward off those boyz.

Lagosians should unite against this menance, how can 1 person hold 14 persons in a bus hostage , collect all their money and valuables and even rape their women, is too much pedestrians motorist should unite and send this cooks where the belong.

I was on that route yesterday night , I had to follow one way to Cele.. It was so obvious that people will be harrased by hoodlums last night. The traffic was massive
