I think d problem of Result approval is only wit ma faculty, my dept especially..

some pple had dia results approved as early as October..

I am hopeful dat d deadline wld b shifted..

It means those ones that have had their results approved by the senate needs the deadline for the SOR! For now you just have to keep praying that your fldpt and senate do the needful before NYSC start asking for PCM s list.
And I think your school SA is trying to use the SOR to know the amount of PCMs they will be presenting for the next batch!
If your dpt is not fast enough, you guys may be sidelined ooook

If x is the constant speed of the boat in still water (such as the water in a lake)

And y the constant speed of the water in the river,

Then the sum of the two speeds gives the speed of the boat when moving along the current, and the difference gives the speed when it's moving against the current...

Well it's kinda difficult typing the working, having in mind that speed is simply distance/time, then solving the two equations simultaneously will give the speed of the boat in still water as 0.05513 km/min and knowing that time is distance/speed, will give a time of 181.4 mins or approximately 3.02 hours

So I don't know if stlaibrowne did it in 20 seconds but mine was more like in 600 seconds... Lol...

Exactly, the first part of the question gave us a clue.

When the water body is moving with te tide and against the tide, so in the case of a lake where the water is constant.
You find the average speed and then you use it to calculate that of lake

Actually I did in like 6 mins considering that no wave will affect motion of the boat in lake hence no velocity loss or gain.

And also I commend LogoDWhiz for posting the question that something we should see more often here.
