You mean serial killers.

Look underneath their floorboards.

I deliberately put the names to spur some folks into doing small research. cheesy , & our rogue politicians are worse MASS murderers cos they kill it's just not obvious...

The nos lost to bad roads, lack of medical infrastructures, bad education etc far outweighs any serial killers' body count..but on a more serious note, they still had their days in court despite everything..

My attention has been drawn to the fact that SUN Newpapers have returned the Dasuki's yams they took under Femi Adeshina's watch as editor. At this rate, it seems I'm the only one who didn't benefit from Dasuki's yams. GMB got 2 cars. Even Femi Adeshina got as SUN Editor.
Re: Stolen Funds: No Plea Bargain — FG by saint047(m): 1:31pm On Dec 21, 2015
Well, I want to commend SUN for returning the yams they took under Femi Adeshina's watch as Editor. When will Buhari return those SUVs? He who comes to equity must do so with clean hands SUN News have returned the yams they took under Femi Adeshina We are waiting for GMB's

i just dont understand this govt undecided

they talk with both sides of the mouth
Re: Stolen Funds: No Plea Bargain — FG by free2ryhme: 1:37pm On Dec 21, 2015
What sort of dumb excerpts am I reading? In one statement the Federal Govt. said, " It said it was not keen on frivolous plea bargain option being contemplated by some of the suspects now standing trial. The government said such plea bargain allows looters to go away with stolen public assets.

But further down the article we see this one....."However, the Attorney General made it clear that while the option of plea bargain was being weighed, the government would first of all take necessary steps to recover the money."

What sort of confusion is being displayed openly by the Attorney general and the Federal Govt.?

Why can't they take firm position in the fight against corruption?

Why talking out of both sides of the mouth?

God help us o!!!

Re: Stolen Funds: No Plea Bargain — FG by Nobody: 2:12pm On Dec 21, 2015
BUHARI.. simply release the names of looters and how much they returned so we can know how much they stole and how much we can really recover. All must be seized from them.. absolutely everything, Houses, Cars, Bank Accounts, Clothes, SOny Playstations, School fees abroad etc. EVERYTHING MUST BE RETURNED TO THE PEOPLE.. PLUS they must be publicly EXECUTED. If you are not doing the listed then you are simply talking out of your obsolete mallam teeth

HAVE MERCY ON THEM!
There is need for the Buhari administration to consider having a little mercy on those who voluntarily return the funds they have stolen.

Such people if it could be proven they actually returned everything they looted voluntarily should have reduced jail terms than the stubborn thieves.

The Buhari administration should know that, this will encourage more soft hearted thieves to come out and it will be a big plus for our economy.

UNBELIEVABLE! you are freaking unbelievable.. Millions have lost their lives because funds were not used optimally for the purpose they were meant for. in saner countries.. they will be jailed or executed.. what about the millions out of school and in deep poverty because the Governors cared nothing for Education and Ministers were busy bribing senate committees on budget allocation instead of doing their work.

BUHARI is proving that he too has swallowed the fruit of corruption so he is treading softly, otherwise he won't be receiving advise from world renowned crooks and shameless thieves of national repute. it is also sad that there are always people like yourselves who will sacrifice the future of Nigeria on the back of political-correctness. Buhari should continue dousing the sorrows of the oppressed with more fire.. one day you will all pay for your intransigence and absolute ignorance when the oppressed bring let out their suppressed emotions on your families..

haba na.

this is really unfair. provided they return the stolen loot, I don't see any reason why the punishment should be mitigated to at least a reasonable sentence.

this practice of plea bargain is adopted in the United States and in LAGOS state, last time I checked.

This is good but for the good of nigeria as a whole let every politician involved in stealing be prosecuted. Fighting just a party to recover stolen funds is not enough while others because they belong to ur party works freely and even help u write the names of those involve from other parties.

If it stops here then the FG is bias and is also guilty of stealing for covering the crimes of those it ought to have persecute and prosecuted because they are members of his party. This should be a fight for Nigeria and not a fight between political parties.

Sir with all due respect show us ur integrity!

During Buhari's campaigns, he said he was gonna lock offenders in Kirikiri. Later on, He said he was gonna exercise clemency to those who willingly return their cuts...

Now, Everyone go enter Cage!....
Did any of your parents take anything that belongs to nobody or belongs to everybody? If not, then you should stop dreaming about KiriKiri Maximum Security Prison.

What is "media prosecution"huh

Is there no due process, laws & it's inner workingshuh So once someone is arrested, the person shouldn't be given fair trial & should be locked away & keys thrown away immediately!!!

All of John Wayne Gacy, Dennis L Rader & Aileen Wuornos still managed to get fair trials despite their guilt being a sure thing...

Law is not MORALITY!! PROOF is key.
u will see morality wen u see d face of d thief dat stole 100k after beating...we ar talking millions of tax payer money here. I see no reason why dey no put am fr kirikiri am sure in a week he will gve full list of he take share money. Death toll continue to rise due to their corruptn

This is what the law termed as 'rep ipsa loquitur' meaning the matter or case speak for itself.

“It is an article of obligation under the law of the Federal Government of Nigeria to convict the looters and recover the amount traced to each of them to show the disdain that this government has for corruption and to serve as a warning signal that nobody is authorised to steal the commonwealth of Nigerians under any guise.”

Malami said that the laws of Nigeria were adequate to deal with those who carted away the nation’s resources and are now living larger than their income.

He said that the Fifth Schedule of the Nigerian Constitution has pushed the burden of proof from the government to those who looted the funds to prove their source of wealth and why they should not be jailed.
if ure planning to charge them under the fifth schedule then EFCC is not the proper authority to investigate the matter .
Re: Stolen Funds: No Plea Bargain — FG by wink2015(m):
[size=18pt]I do not support plea bargaining in the first instance as it was plea bargaining that make Lucky Igbenedion, former governor of Edo state to get away with his stolen billions of Edo state money while paying just a pittance ( small amount ) to the government.

If Lucky Igbenedion had tasted prison, he and his father will not get the effrontery to tongue lash the comrade governor, Adams Oshiomole.

If our public office holder that are convicted for corruption are sent to prison to taste prison life they will never steal again and that will stand as a deterrence to other public office holder.

Just see what Dokpesi experience at Kuje Prison despite the special treatment he got from prison warders who shaded him from other harden criminal, he look so troubled

The slogan is "No more impunity for corrupt public officers' as far as the Buhari government is concerned

Due process, court trials and adjournments hold back justice.

Off with the heads of looters of public funds (once confirmed) at once!
They have directly or indirectly killed several people.
