This religion is based on jesus, bible and church..


Christianity as we all know has root. Which is catholic(rome)

How come we have so many churches and so many doctrines that are not from catholic who is the source of christianity?

Why did people divert from catholic and start their own church or doctrines?

Since catholic is the source of christianity.. Having so many churches and doctrines different from catholic proves catholic a lie?







Unto the name jesus.. Its catholic that spread the gospel of jesus .. Its believed that catholic elevate holy mary more than they elevate jesus.. Why?


Also catholic believe that jesus is God because they do call mary mother of God when praying.. I would love a catholic to explain this to me..





Bible.. Catholic has its own bible and so is other christians.. Since catholic is the source of christianity, how come its bible is not beleived to be truth and why different bible from catholic own surfaced?







Onto church... catholic church buildings and dressing and doctrines is far more orthodox than the new age christians.. Catholic church will always be known to be a church,some church nowadays are always looking like an auditorium or hall or stage or cinema house..










Now to clear the impression, am not a catholic, am proudly a muslim....





The reason for creating this thread is just to know the reason why catholic bible, church and beliefs are very different from nowadays christians and for catholic to be he source of christianity, why the separation from catholic. ( as in having different churches, doctrines, beliefs and bibles )











We are all here to learn not to discriminate.. Matured and reasonable comments are expected..

I was going to try give a reasonable reply, not knowing you opened this thread with the mindset of an e-terrorist who isn't even manly enough to follow through with the main purpose you hid the guise of this thread in; for the sake of knowledge and clarity!

I'd rather pledge allegiance to this 'stupid' religion than that which indoctrinates evil habits like Terrorism into the minds of young people in exchange for their common sense.

I only blame the mods for allowing posts from non Christians on this section.

Didn't bother reading again when I saw this, you are very misinformed cos Catholic is not the root of Christianity.

@op, I have answers to all your questions but doubt your ability to comprehend them since your intention for these questions is for criticism. Also, your religion affiliation may have given you some impressions about these posed questions such that any genuine answers would not be accepted with an open mind. All these said, I'll still answer them and they would make meaning to you if only you put sentiment apart and read them with a heart willing to learn.

1. Christianity has grown beyond being a religion to having personal encounter with Christ. That said, I may not be able to tell you much about whether Christianity originated from Catholic or not, but I can tell you that having different churches (denominations) is as a result of different doctrines( personal conviction/belief). As people began to relate with the Holy Spirit and study the bible, they realised that there are some practices of Roman Catholics that are not scriptural. For an instance, they pray Holy Mary to pray for them. Whereas, the only Personality that does this is the Holy Spirit (You may read Romans 8:26-27) and the only Name to use when praying is the Name of Jesus. They pray using Rosary, do confession to their popes, etc. All these can't be found in the bible. So, these marked the exodus of most people from Catholics.

And if you will agree with me, Muslims have different sects (denominations too) which were borne out of personal beliefs and opinions.

Will I say Catholic is a lie? No. Because presently, I have come across some of their Rev Fathers that are very scriptural. God is shedding His light into their hearts to see their wrong practices and they are amending their ways.

2. Catholic doesn't have a different bible. They only have additional "literature books" for the denomination. Like muslims, you have Quaran which is your major book and also you have Hadiths.

3. As per church building and dressing, that has nothing to do with Christianity. Now, building of edifice is a function of the pocket of church members. You will see some having shops as a place of worship , cathedrals, halls, sitting room, etc. It is all about how rich and generous the members of such a church are. God does not dwell in building as He can't be limited to a place. In the bible, God says " Where two or three are gathered in my Name, there will I be"
