I don't know what the court decision has to do with your submission on this matter. The court decided based on a principle enunciated by the supreme Court long before now. Are you saying a ruling party has got no right to fight for its right in the court of law? I beg go joor.

Never trusted that woman for once ever since she was declared the winner of the election. This same woman that can do anything to get what she wants. She should go and rest then......why want to gain everything in the world.

Are u making sense @ all. What stopped pdp from conducting a proper primary election that will bring forth a candidate with no error. Abi na APC go help pdp conduct primaries again. All this wailers sef.

Senator Uche Ekwunife, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the March 28, Anambra Central senatorial election may not be qualified to participate in the re-run election ordered by the Enugu Appeal panel which nullified her election.

From the full text of the certified true copy of the Appeal Court obtained in Enugu, yesterday, the appellate court held that the 11th respondent (Ekwunife) “was not the product of a valid primary and was therefore, not duly and legitimately nominated.

“That has disqualified her from contesting the election into the Anambra Central district.”

The court cited Supreme Court ruling on Wambai Vs Donatus (2014) that “a person cannot be qualified to be a candidate of a party except and unless he is nominated and sponsored by a political party.”

The court held that neither Ekwunife nor the PDP led evidence to prove that there was a primary and those who participated in such a primary where Ekwunife was elected.

Chairman of the appeal panel Justice A.D. Yahaya, who read the judgment said: “After an election, if a person wishes to challenge the result of the election on ground of nomination/pre- election matter, he can legally do so before a tribunal under Section 138 (1) (a) of the Electoral Act 2010 as amended and it is wrong to hold that an election tribunal does not have jurisdiction to hear and determine such a matter.”

“Nomination is part and parcel of qualification to stand for an election and since an election can be challenged on the grounds of lack of qualification, it follows that the appropriate forum to challenge it after the election is held is the Election Tribunal.”

was there ever healthy competition we all knew what happened when Obasanjo was in power, if Tinubu wasn't strong enough and determined do you think Lagos state would have been outta the claws of PDP Moreover the point raised in this case have got nothing to do with this administration, if you read the article properly you will see a case been cited as far back as 2014 when PMB was still cuddled up on his bed with Aisha hoping to be the presidential candidate of APC then.

And Beside same thing applicable to kogi central and kogi east senatorial aspirant of APC were bar from participating in the fourth coming bye election in February! This is more of demoractic than the order way people think of!! I think this strengthen our demoractic process than back door process of then!!!

You guys should calm down, the guy has apologised in his previous post, he wanted to say APGA and mistakenly said APC. Why all these abusive languages, because of politicians that do not care who you are.
