Ojukwu had to execute Ifeajuna, Banjo and others because of their ambition. They were sent to liberate the mid western region but they their mind on dodan barracks in lagos. They wanted to overthrow gowon and force Biafra to surrender. That's why Biafran forces came as far as Ore.

Ifeajuna was a great personality but inordinately ambitious.

Biggest lie I have ever heard, you revisionist never seize to amaze. You think after taking over gowon, the then nigerian army who are majorly notherners, and yoruba will then be controlled by a former rebel to force biafra to surrender, where will the loyalty and support come from. It was "Why we struck" written by Adewale Ademoyega his own account of this first coup in Nigeria..........do your research very well.

And he was just 32 years...RIP Boss!
