11. Survivor Why Critics Hated It: If there was some sort of reference book for straight-to-VOD thrillers, Survivor would tick practically every box. It’s basically a naff double bill of the two worst episodes of 24 that ever could be made glued together with a wildly squandered cast and a hilariously tiny budget (such that the CGI and location doubling are both terrible). Aside from being woefully boring, its biggest crime is that it barely features Pierce Brosnan at all, despite him receiving prominent billing in all the advertising. It’s all the more disappointing as this was a rare villainous role for the former Bond star, but like everyone else, he completely phones it in throughout. It’s boring, made with little imagination and maximum economy for a quick buck, but honestly, who the hell actually paid to see this?

10. Absolutely Anything
Why Critics Hated It: “Embarrassingly awful”
feels like one of the few apt ways to describe this
cinematic bowel movement from Monty Python
alum Terry Jones.
Simon Pegg again proves that he seems to
flounder in starring roles away from Edgar Wright
or big Hollywood franchises, but critics were
more crestfallen that this is the movie the late
Robin Williams’ career ended on, voicing a
profane dog (with an admirable level of
enthusiasm, at least).
The genuine laughs can be counted on one
hand, it feels like a terrible skit show pilot that
goes on about an hour too long, and somehow
the lovely Kate Beckinsale also got roped into it
(as Pegg’s rather implausible romantic interest,
no less).
American critics should count their blessings that
they didn’t have to sit through it.

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Nobody:
9. Accidental Love
Why Critics Hated It: David O. Russell’s single
critically-panned movie to date got caught up in
financial red tape mid-production, and after
languishing in development hell for years (it
started shooting in 2008), was edited into
oblivion and released without Russell’s content,
resulting in this rancid slop that is the final
product.
Even so, it’s hard to defend Russell much,
because there’s just no indication at all that he
could’ve made a great or even decent film out of
it. The performances are off, the tone is all over
the place, it would’ve felt out of date even if it
came out by 2009 as originally planned, and the
political satire is pretty heavy-handed.
Russell was at least allowed to have his name
taken off the film officially, and it’s just as well,
even if he should shoulder some of the blame for
what got served up.

Watch it, it's good. I fell asleep three times while watching Wall-E 'cause I always watched it while I was tired. On my fourth try, I watched it during the day, it was a good decision, never slept off again. So give it another go.

Update: I only just realised it's a list. I actually liked Genesis even with its wonky timeline and paradoxes, I think I just enjoyed the callbacks.

Maze Runner kinda felt like a waste of money.

Mockingjay, J-Law saves it as always...Katniss can finally rest.

I really liked American Ultra, a sleeper agent stoner action comedy, they had me at Ultra. Google MK Ultra.

Creed, I really don't intend to watch it, I left Rocky a long time ago, but it is really rather tempting to watch. I know there's an unlimited screening coming up that I intend to ignore.

8. Hot Pursuit Why Critics Hated It: An aggressively unfunny buddy movie starring two talented actresses who are rendered temporarily unlikable, Hot Pursuit might’ve been more effective as an R-rated raunch-fest, but at the PG-13 level, it feels ridiculously tame and dull. Yes, Reese Witherspoon is a straight-laced southerner and Sofia Vergara is a gorgeous, sassy Colombian: they disagree and shout at each other a lot and chaos ensues, but they eventually become friends. You’ve seen this plot dozens of times before, and this certainly isn’t one of the more spirited or lively attempts to make it fun or interesting. It’s bottom of the barrel cinema, going back to the well repeatedly for a variation on the same, simple gag. At least it’s mercifully short, but still not short enough.

7. Regression Why Critics Hated It: Consider that people expected a possible Best Picture candidate from writer-director Alejandro Amenábar (The Others, The Sea Inside) here. Instead, he served up a shockingly rote occult thriller which somehow attracted Ethan Hawke and Emma Watson to star. For her luck, Watson thankfully doesn’t appear anywhere near as much as advertised, though gives a rare poor performance anyway. Hawke fares a little better and is at least trying, but what can be done with such run-of-the-mill fare? Oh, and if you didn’t see the plot twist coming at least half an hour early, you were probably asleep, which nobody could blame you for. One of the year’s most epically awful disappointments.

5. Home Sweet Hell

Why Critics Hated It: Katherine Heigl’s career
continues its steady descent with this straight-to-
VOD snooze-fest you’ve probably not heard of, a
dark coimedy about suburban life that brings
nothing new to the table and is at its worst really
quite offensive.
Heigl again re-affirms why she’s so ill-liked in
Hollywood with another wretched performance
(while barely being the best thing in it), though
poor Patrick Wilson for getting roped into this
mess too and, we hate to admit it, also turning in
some pretty shoddy work.
It’s super-sexist (ironic considering Heigl’s
outspoken words about her star-making movie
Knocked Up being unfair to women), not
particularly funny nor especially edgy, a limp
black comedy that feels hugely behind the times
with its satire.

4. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2

Why Critics Hated It: Reviewers were pretty
lukewarm on the original movie (33%), but went
all out to destroy the sequel, which pretty much
just rehashed the same formula as the original
film…but in Las Vegas.
There’s more gags about how lame being a mall
cop is, how fat Kevin James is and how often
Kevin James falls over and…not really anything
else. The plot will exit your brain only marginally
faster than it took the screenwriters to scribble it
down on a napkin, Blart is surprisingly unlikable
this time around, and there’s not a single
meaningful or entertaining moment in the entire
film.
And the worst just might be yet to come,
because a third film is already being discussed
due to this sequel’s box office success. On the
plus side, it’d be impressive if it actually scored
less than 5%.

3. Vice

Why Critics Hated It: Though the premise isn’t
completely devoid of promise (rich people visit a
resort where they get to carry out their darkest
wishes on synthetic humans), it may as well have
been given how little effort is put into executing
it by all involved.
Ultimately, Vice is a derivative low-budget sci-fi
thriller which puts Thomas Jane in an awful wig
and sees Bruce Willis sleepwalk his way to the
straight-to-VOD dungeon (though for his mercy,
he’s barely in it).
The slight whiff of style and intelligence is quickly
replaced with increasingly generic, dull plotting,
leading to a riotously terrible plot twist, and a
movie you’ll fast find yourself losing interest in

I don't dig Old tv shows that much, maybe because I'm so in with the new age I can't bare to ignore the cheesy factors that comes with it..

Dang,I guess that's one of the reason I probably disliked him cheesy ,he's got the perfect body likened to a greek god . MOS was nothing to write home about, but damn he did get the Superman physique right,no muscle pad in the suit, just sheer muscles.

Woah ,that's a bit extreme,I can tell the director was a bit pushy.
On no circumstance would I put my health at risk just for a movie gig.
Isn't there some kinda law against that? Directors making actors do things that might be a threat to their health?
You missed out on really good films and believe me, they were not all cheesy, some gritty stuff came out from those old films, where did you think film noir came from? Humphrey Bogart as the hard boiled PI Philip Marlowe. The quintessential gangster-speak of the 30s thanks to Edward G. Robinson & James Cagney's portrayals of gangsters - "look here see", "see listen here copper" etc. Cat on a Hot Thing Roof is certainly not cheesy, it's basically one night at a rich family's house with more problems than you could shake a stick at. Mendacity is a big theme of the film, mendacity means lying.

2. The Ridiculous 6
Why Critics Hated It: If you thought Adam Sandler’s low of 2015 would be The Cobbler, think again. This inexplicably well-cast movie is a tepid spaghetti western parody without a scrap of material hovering above merely braindead, hence the illustrious 0% critical approval rating. Yes, the actors are oddly committed to their parts (even the likes of Nick Nolte and Harvey Keitel), but it’s a brutal sit at two hours in length, there are maybe two funny scenes, and a lot of the “jokes” are dragged out until they definitely aren’t amusing anymore. With Sandler having three more movies to come as part of his lucrative Netflix deal, however, it seems like the worst may be yet to come, and most of them probably won’t have casts this awesome

1. Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser

Why Critics Hated It: And finally, we come to the big one, the movie that to date has scored one of the lowest averages in the history of Rotten Tomatoes, Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser. Consider that the original 2001 movie scored just 11% with a 3.0 average and critics were already coming out swinging, not that the movie surprised them in any way. Running in a brutal 106 minutes and having clearly been put together on a shoestring budget, Joe Dirt 2 isn’t merely a technical mess but simply unfunny from start to finish. The gags are lazy and flop every time, the plot is an indiscriminate parody of countless better films, the acting is atrocious, and the fact that only eight Rotten Tomatoes critics even bothered to review it is proof perfect of just how little of an audience there is for this film.

I have a honest question to ask. The articles u've posted so far tagged, "why critics hated (movie name)". ok I get it, but I wanna ask, Have u in particular watched the above listed movies? If so why do u hate them? If NOT, then what's d point in posting dem (it's obvious "Copy and Paste" it's easy, isn't it?) It would only discourage folks from attempting to see the movies because of d opinion of one individual. I only analyse movies dat I've watched, other persons' opinions may differ (we all respect that) so long d individual has seen d movie. Every movie, however beautiful it is, has it's own share of "critics" or even "metacritics". But It's unfair if one posts a critic's view without checking it out for him or herself. Just my opinion.

Ya I got that, ran a quick search on the word when you first mentioned it,a film set about such premise might actually be worth watching.

But still a bit skeptical when it comes to Old films.

Well different strokes for different folks.
