Tragedy was averted on Friday morning in Biliri local government area of Gombe State, when a suspected male suicide bomber dressed in female attire with suicide vest strapped over his waist was apprehended before carrying out the nefarious act. The suspected bomber was according to reports, attempting to blow up a Catholic church where Christmas service was ongoing, but was arrested by some vigilante Muslim youth who were guarding the church. Daily Correspondents had exclusively obtained photograph of the would-be-suicide bomber; a male in his late twenties, dressed like a woman, with neatly plaited hair made to look as though ‘’she’’ was attending the Christmas church service. Our sources revealed that but for the vigilance of some youths around the church who noticed the strange movement of the bomber, it would have been a black Christmas today in Gombe as the church was filled to capacity as at the time of the incident. kodded:Don't blame Buratai or anyone for cowardly acts of Boko Haram and their accomplices. Buratai was only talking about defeating Boko Haram on the battlefield. Boko Haram fighters have been defeated to the barest minimum. No where in the world you can defeat suicide bombings. In my candid opinion, this war against Insurgency is gradually been won by the Nigerian military. Boko haram's major ways of killing have now been limited to suicide bombings which could be very difficult to control. Thank God this was averted. 3 Likes |
