For all the quoters, yes we didn't win... But I'm sure the point would be very obvious now. We are playing better and should have won. This wasn't one of those games were the players were playing like they were drunk. This wasn't one of the games where we were relying on Willian to bail us out. The immediate changes in performance since Jose left are clear to even the blind. On one hand, I'm happy because it's clear that we are turning a corner and might be to further improve our troops in the next few weeks. On the other, I'm still a bit annoyed by what looks like the unprofessional attitude shown by some of these players. Anyway, onward and upward I hope. United are bereft of confidence and led by a clueless manager. This might offer us a chance to shift up into the next gear. ktbffh. 1 Like |

Games are hard enough to win as it is without giving the opposition a penalty and missing a penalty of your own. I thought we were decent at times today but agree we need to be good for 90 minutes not just for patches of the match. Some of our forward play was good, still needs to get better but an improvement on recent times, two goals for Diego has to be a good thing, typical that he misses the next match. For those that wanted lots of instant change, Hiddink stated that he would stick with the normal team until he gets to suss out who impresses in training and games, even saying he will give youth a chance if he feels they are up to it. Sounds fair enough, let's wait and see, it's his first game in charge after all. Makes you realise where we are at the moment when a draw at home to Watford feels like an ok-ish result. 1 Like |
