You are stupid and very stupid indeed. Are you officers not responsible for ensuring that the right thing be done. Every year you all embark on your annual leave A.K.A Strike and the purpose of such strike is just to increase your stupid remuneration.

You will never see a doctor strike for good healthcare system in Nigeria - NEVER. However, they will strike for housing, increased pay, hazard allowances and for all selfish purpose

it is too early on a Sunday morning to be this stupid..are we even supposed to strike for our salaries? now according to you,we should strike for good healthcare system.as if the bad system does not affect us too.
I had an S.R whose father was admitted in Lasuth for prostatic cancer. the doc paid for ALL bills incurred by his father. The hospital management refused to pay for even give him a discount.. yet.when Fashola's father was admitted in Lasuth, everything was free..or is it the case of OJB that got free dialysis in Lasuth because he is a celebrity?
the change should come from doctors abi? and your politicians feeding fat in Abuja should do what? stay there and be ranting.

You are the foolish and mad one here. I know the health system very well in this country due to close association. The same system that killed my mother because of you and your stupid colleagues negligence. Please don't get on my nerves this holy morning because you will hate my moniker.

Can you imagine a health worker's quote? Take a look at your miserable self in the mirror and be honest about the number of people, your negligence has killed. Look at this half baked, stupid looking doctor for Christ sake or you think I look like the numerous naira landers you all can deceive.

Please, my advise - if you have the money, don't patronize Nigeria Doctors. They are potential killers. I know them very very well. Many of them are frustrated. Go to LUTH and see for yourself.

My doctor is coming to visit me today, he shall receive the tough edge of my rant because of this nonsense. I have always told him, how negligent, stupid, half-baked his colleagues are.

You are mad and indeed mad. When you want to strike, do so for a good purpose. Because of your inconsiderate, wicked and selfish act, you and your colleagues never considered the percentage of people killed during your annual strike period. bros is not about anybody who criticizes doctors...but about the hate in them doing it not just for a critique per say but to spite it..
am sure the lady i quoted has never been to any Nigerian hospital to see hw things work...doctors work with equipment but they're not the ones who take charge of them but rather the nurses whom the doctors depend on to use them and if they dont bring them the doctor in question is practically incapacitated to do anything
lets take for an instance an accident victim that needs oxygen, assuming the nurse doesn't bring the cylinder do u tink the doctor can practically do anything?
all am saying is that we should apply common sense why trying to criticize and not just for the sake of criticizing.

The day I will handle you guys, and it shall not be a close relative. I will take it very personal and ensure that such Doctor goes to jail even if I spend my last kobo.

Go abroad and see how careful doctors and other health workers conduct themselves. Why - because, if they are negligent, they lose their license and the hospital pays damages to the victims family. In short, people are even praying for doctors to be negligent so that they can become instant millionaires.

Thank you for pointing it out again so that these vampires in the medical field can see it. Doctors in this country are frustrated and not passionate about their field.

If you have ever been attended to by a foreign Doctor, whether in Nigeria or abroad, you will understand what I am saying. You will not need a soothsayer to know the difference

For other Doctors to support the OP's ineptitude shows that they understand his plight. Though as a lay man all I can say is that the OP has a fault in this scenerio but let's not forget to look at the remote cause which boils down to the policy of #paybeforetreatment especially in government hospitals.
So to y'all calling for the head of this young doctor, pls take a chill pill

Most people blaming the OP for not doing enough do not understand a lot of things. The people to blame are his wicked superiors. The OP is just a houseofficer...he knows little yet! The way out is for people to start sueing hospitals & irresponsible health systems. A situation in which people only engage in e- emotional outbursts against persons or groups will not improve the system. Cheers everyone!

EXCUSE ME PLEASE. They don't treat for free. I go there. The healthcare system is even expensive, but the healthcare workers, first, understand their duties and priorities - which is to provide excellent healthcare. They show deep interest in wanting to see you better. They follow up with phone calls to find out if you are ok. They simply care and when I discuss our healthcare system in Nigeria with them, they are horrified.

For those doctors, maybe they are too young or have been deceived by their senior colleagues, I wish to remind them that they are the ones holding our healthcare system from improving.

My simple advise to you @ OP is leave social media and face your work. Or simply leave the medical profession if you prefer the social media. It's obvious you did nothing. There was an emergency and you still had time to run outside and buy and load a recharge card when you know that time is of the essence in such a situation. Or you do not know? I am a first aid officer and when faced with such a situation I know to focus on the victim while calling instructing others around to call the emergency services. What kind of a doctor ignores dying patients? I shake my head at how terrible the humans in the medical profession in Nigeria can be with all kinds of lame excuses.

You didn't know what to do @ OP. Simple. You wasted all those years in medical school learning nothing, hence your first challenge you couldn't handle.

You expected sympathy. You just exposed your ignorance and lack of skill. May God have mercy on your tormented soul because you know your actions were wrong. Five minutes is a long time in an emergency.

Some consolation that his house rent would expire and he would be thrown out to the cold with his family or consolation that he would be hungry. No money to feed and helpless as his family leaves him to squat with relations.
Consolation that insults and disregard for him in a harsh society.

To whom brain is given, sense is expected.
