Deduction for lateness is a disciplinary measure. Imagine if all teachers come late to work, would you still have a school.

Marking of students notes is part of the job, thus failure to read and mark students note means you as a teacher didn't keep your part of the deal. It is clearly stated in the school rules and regulations and you read before accepting the appointment.

Every good teacher should be able to have class control and it is not in all cases that money is deducted, it is after several caution that you will be forced to learn the hard way. How can you impact when you can't control your class? Why do you think most Parents bring their wards to Classical?

Teachers are allowed to leave the school if need be but no teacher is allowed to abuse that may be that is why you are seeing it that way. If you play with your business Nigerians will help you destroy it. Why do you think the school is growing at a supersonic rate.

The portion held which is less than 2% of your salary is held for a reason i can't say in public and it is returned to you at the end of the term.

No teacher is forced to behave like a zombie(if i may use your word), it is a school of high discipline and you can attest to that. The school is not a place for bad people, you must be an unfortunate staff who failed to leave up to expectation and hence you where fired in other to keep the integrity of the school. If people like you are allowed to carry out your wicked actions, the school wouldn't have gotten to this level.

CLASSICAL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IS A SCHOOL WITH A DIFFERENCE AND MOST PARENTS ARE AWARE OF THIS FACT. I leave you with these questions

1. Why should you come late to work
2. Why will you not mark students notes
3. Why should you not have class control and you call yourself a teacher
4. Why should you break the rules and regulation of the school for your personal interest.
5. If the school is yours would you ask those questions

Classical International School will go any length to provide quality education for the Nigerian child even if it is to step on some LAZY AND DISHONEST STAFF.

Most staff who complain about Classical are staff with the following characteristics.

1. They are very lazy
2. They hate correction
3. They want to reap but never want to sow
4. They don't have passion for the job
5. They don't care about the Nigerian child
6. They have low esteem
7. They want to have their way in executing immorality
8. They love coming late to work
9. They can't impact
10. They are not intelligent and don't have firm mastery of their subject area

The characteristics are numerous. I am not the owner of the school, i am only but a staff there and if i can say all these about the school it means that those of you saying negative things about the school have so many questions to ask yourself. Lets be truthful to ourselves, if you give Nigerians the space they require they will help you destroy your business and at the end they will end up criticizing you and say all sort of bad things about you that lead to the downfall of your business. Most staff that leaves classical in a genuine and appropriate manner tends to make it big, this is because you learn a whole lot aside your primary duty.

A school that started with only one branch now have over 5 branches all thanks to the exceptional way the management handles matters in the school. If you don't know the 2nd poster who asked those question thinking he is destroying the school is only advertising the school. How many schools will go that length to give students the best. Parents are grateful to the school and dedicated staff also appreciate the school for it firm and friendly policies. MOST PERSONS COMPLAINING ARE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PLAY A FAST ONE OF THE SCHOOL BUT WERE NOT GIVING THE SPACE TO EXECUTE THEIR EVIL PLANS.

Classical rewards dedicated staff but detest wicked and dishonest staff.

I expect you to straighten your ways and do what is right because no organization with the hope of succeeding will employ people like you who support evil. Tell me one thing the school did to you and tell the world what you did to have deserve such treatment. Classical is growing at the speed of light, it is a big school and not your unkind words can bring it down. I am only but a staff there, i hope to have my own organization one day and like the saying goes the way you treat others business that is how yours will be treated.

The irony of it all is that reasonable people with good qualification just applied for the Job. Most of you saying bad things about the school are indirectly advertising the school and logical thinkers sees it from that angle. There is no atom of wisdom in your comment and no company wants to employ people who are not innovative and success driven. Keep waiting for a company that will take trash from you as an employee. Companies beg assets to stay while they do everything to chase away people who are liabilities. Please get a life and do something meaningful. There is absolutely no time to waste time.

You only heard form the teachers, did you bother to ask yourself if they teachers are saying the truth and think outside the box. People like you who based their judgment only on what they hear are not considered serious by reasonable people. On that note i rest my case to save energy for better things. Let us assume you have a school for instance, are you saying that your staff will come to school whenever they feel like since you don't have any measure of control. @ kentprince, I will suggest you choose your choice of words carefully. I am also a proud teacher and I can boldly say that some of your teachers have been unfairly treated as such they express their bitterness. Make amends, everyone errs.

However, I want to advise you to tread softly. What goes around comes around. That you are in the good book of your employer now doesn't mean that you will not be back-stabbed later. I am talking from experience. Most school owners today are actually taking advantage of the unemployment status in the country.

Since you have the interest of your school at heart, I want suggest the following:

1. Punishment for late-coming should be after the 3rd times a teacher is coming late in a month.
2. Verbal warnings, memos and queries should be used in lieu of salary deductions. Remember, teachers' salaries are so little to meet their needs. So, deduction is an act of wickedness.
3. Teachers are intelligent. No teacher is unintelligent as you claim. All they need is motivation. Let your management motivate them and you would be surprise by what their outputs will be. Remember, gabbage in is gabbage out.
4. Organise regular seminars for them. Through these, they would be able to understand what the management requires of them.
Lastly. high labour turn-over is not good for our educational system. It has a way of affecting students' performance at the end of the day.

I pity you for defending a system that you don't even understand. I told a senior management staff of the school some years back that his future is brighter outside the school, yet he remained adamant and insisted to be used as a slave master probably just like your humble self. Can you imagine , just last 2 years the same demi-god management staff of Classical whom think he has the world in his pocket came to my organization and was begging me for employment. So Kent, please wake up and don't be a fool living in a hypothetical paradise.

You've spoken very well, i must commend you for your wonderful comment but the school actually does more than you stated above. My friend some persons are just wicked and lazy. No matter the training given to them, they don't seem to change even a bit. The director of the school is a hard worker and a man of high standard, he is one man that barely rest just to train teachers. Most Nigerians want thing done their own way and when they don't have their way, they say all sort of false things and drag gullible people to sympathize with them. I don't wish to stay in Classical forever, unless i don't have a dream. But the time i will spend there, i will give my best regardless of what the environment have to offer. Even those working with top oil firms want to own their own empire. What am saying is that most things you hear employee say about their employer are not as they seem, majority are false, though some are true and we all know this. I always say it Nigerian youths should think outside the box, life is in phases, wherever you find yourself just see as a step to another greater level and try to be honest and straightforward. The wealthiest people in the world are working for themselves and not for anybody but some of them worked for others before they got to where they are today. That you are a teacher doesn't mean you will die a teacher, i am somebody who frown at bad things.
