Dear all, i know that anyone who has attained a Ph.d is most times refereed to as a doctor, Though an academic doctor. but he cant be said to have just a first degree. therefore are medical doctor first degree holders? |

Doctor is a title used for somebody that study medicine not a qualification, just like Engr for engineering student. Medical students first degree is called Bachelor of Medicine or MBBS in Latin (Medicinae Baccalaureus, Baccalaureus Chirurgiae). 2 Likes |
