3 Reasons To Blog In 2016 by Nobody:
1. For The Money: Just like the country is seeking to diversify it’s economy, an additional source of income for you is a wise option in an economy like ours. There are many ways to make money as a blogger, though this is not a get-rich-quick-system, getting a firm grasp at blogging can be the magic you need at financial independence. Bloggers can make money by advertising, fiverr, affiliate marketing, info-marketing and the like. I will advice anybody going into blogging especially on a commercial platform have a working blueprint and engage the service of a mentor, an incubation or a blogging network.

2. Self Improvement: By putting your thoughts to writing, you not only improve your mental ability to think, research, decision making and how you interact with others. When you start shoveling through the pile load of information spread across the internet in order to find your voice, you will be wowed by the shear proportion of information overload and intelligence humanity have stockpiled for progeny, believe me, you will never be the same.

3. Share Your Passion: Are you passionate about a skill set, a hobby, an item or a person, what ever, you can take that passion global, blog about it, let the world know you part of it, this will not only give you a sense of fulfillment, but set you out as one who made inpact in the field you choose. And when the comments and commendations starts trooping in, you will be happy you followed your passion.

Please, any other reason than making money. Stop raising the hopes of future fake bloggers. Too many are in the business to make money only and nothing else. If people with passion for blogging eventually quit after a few years then what would happen to those in it only for the money?

I don't understand what you mean by "fake bloggers" you mean copy and paste bloggers?

Everybody does something for something, why do you go to school, get a job, there are reasons, the reasons above can be squarely adjusted to "3 reasons why you should go to school" so if a person with passion for going to school quits what happens to the person who goes to school for the money?

Maybe I don't get your point, could you please elaborate?

I'm saying too many people go into the business of blogging only to make money as their motivation. Blogging is not a business(should not even get referred to as a business) where you create three or four articles and start seeing revenue of hundreds of thousands of naira. Those in it for money eventually become frustrated at the reality of the business and quit after a week or two.

Fake bloggers; ubiquitous all over the internet, these are the ones you see spamming rich-content blogs with their filth. Nobody knows where these hacks steal pictures but they are fond of either posting stolen pictures of nude girls, pornographic materials or posting plagiarized intellectual property passing them off as authentic.

If you do a research on the topic. You'd find out the main people who make money, real money, I mean big bucks from the business -- are actually those who entered the business with the passion of writing in mind. Money was only a by-product of their hobby. Even at that some bloggers eventually lose passion for the hobby, a situation I've seen many times.

Now I get you, but for me, the old method of blogging which limited it to a "hobby" is dead, (blogging till you hit alot of organic traffic, then connect adsense and make money). I recently sold my adsense account cos it wasn't working for me.

As I mentioned earlier, there are many ways to make money from blogging.
Last two years I found a method of creating bulk sms websites for almost free, I just had to buy the domain name for like N1,000. I created a blog detailing how users can manage their admin panel, sell and market their bulk SMS website, less than 10 blog posts covered it all, I then placed an advert on facebook, "Get a bulk SMS website for N5000". At least I was getting one order daily for about a month.

So if you remove the N1000 for domain and about N500 for advert. I take home N3,500 for each order. I build the site in less than 30 minutes.
For some reasons, facebook couldn't bill my account again, when I fixed it, my targeting was gone, I was paying facebook more for less. I had to drop that option.

So with a blog less than 1 week old, I was making N3,500 for over a month.

That's one instant and there are several orders. Right now, am experimenting on blog network with reference to getting backlink orders from fiverr.com. You can checkout the offer at www.fiverrblogger.com/join-us

Thanks

You are on the right track..
The only people who will find fault in your thread are those who think making money on blogging is automatic. I am a blogger too...a food blogger. I'm tryna develop my traffic n then try to make profit from it.
And mind you......i'm blogging to earn profit....i mean who has time to while away in this present day economy.
