You dont have a problem for as long as your Name is correct.

Yes, the course don't really matter.. You have no problem anyway... but its just not advisable though.

If anyone (FULL TIME) tells u that he got mobilized without a Valid JAMB Reg Number is telling u lies, the only set of people allowed to register online with or without JAMB Reg Number are those whose study modes are PART TIME.

bro I don't think my reg no. is invalid cos I still checked my result on jamb sites today to confirm that..
what happened actually was that I was given double admission one to college of edu which was the first and later on I was given admission in OAU but what was showing on the jamb site was that of COE, so my dad had to go to the college to reject the admission of which he did successfully. I later proceeded to the OAU admission's office with the rejection form and the admission officer told me to pay an amount of #3500 to effect the changes on jamb site but it has not been effected up till now..
I believe so far my registration num can still display my result on jamb site it's still valid...

For your registration number to be considered as VALID it must display your Admission status on JAMB Website, displaying result does not make it a valid registration number necessary for NYSC.

Hello sir kaysy, I did my jamb regularization in 300L (last year) with a jamb reg number dat starts with 21.....(i.e 2012) but I was latter given a reg number that starts with 15......(i.e 2011) and I can only check with this my new reg number in year 2011, whereas I was admitted 2012. Although this new 2011 reg number given to me shows that I'm admitted but my jamb result verification shows "no result yet".
Sir, is the change in year peculiar to me or common to all? Will it pose a problem to me latter? Thanks.

You don't have any problem with a change in your year of admission, the most important thing is for the number to be valid.

By valid, do you mean for it to show "congratulations......you have been offered admission for......." ?

I said it before and I'll say it again here for the last time. For you number to be Valid,it must not necessarily display your admission status on JAMB website. What NYSC needs is not your admission status. Because they know that someone can apply for course A and later transfer to course B or be withdrawn to course B. What NYSC needs from JAMB is is Full names,date of birth,state of origin. And anyone who wrote and passed JAMB must have supplied these details during JAMB registration. Such details are stored in JAMB database and that is what NYSC correlates with JAMB when they assess the website. Stop wasting money. I'm a batch B stream 2 corps member and I don't even have admission letter. My admission status reads "no admission yet" I couldn't even check my result and what I studied is different from what I applied for, yet I had no issues with NYSC reg. I'm not discouraging regularization at all o. Just do it if you want to be 100% safe. I'm just musing....

Not true in its entirety. Anyone who registered JAMB after 2005 has a valid JAMB number. You may not even write it!
