Now to the issue at hand, the reason why traders spread their tentacles by travelling far and wide is because they are in search of a market for their wares. If the Igbo traders have their customers in the east, I can assure you no one would bother stepping to a land up to 30mins away from his/her homeland. Igbos are businessmen by nature and as long as that remains the case, travelling and living in foreign lands cannot be avoided. You probably know nothing about business that's why you think it would be economically feasible for all Igbo traders to teturn home.

So they should go and buy over-priced shops to massage Ur stvpid ego? As the business man you think you are, how do you think they will balance the books after buying your APC over-priced shops? How long will it take an average trader to do that? Where will they even raise the capital from?

when Lagos state govt built tejuosho market and valued it at a very high price, little did they know it was gonna be a waste of resources. igbos refused to buy and thought the best was to sell along the rail track at yaba. there came govt again to demolish their tents, chaos. now they have targeted oshodi to frustrate the igbos so that they will go to tinubu's plaza. the present govt lacks vision n foresight.

I once lived in Lagos, precisely at palmgroove along ikorodu road, also I did business at computer village Ikeja for some-time & presently I'm doing business here in the East. I have done a comparative analysis between the business climate in Lagos & the East & I discovered that an average businessman is better-off in East(especialy Onitsha & Aba) than Lagos. There is this assumption that since Lagos is a city of about 18million then it cant be compared to say Aba or Onitsha in terms of demand but they fail to understand that people travel from as far as North, Niger, Cameroun, ND Etc to buy goods from these two cities which offsets the population advantage. 2ndly, it wud be much easier for the average businessman in the East to build his own house than his counterpart in Lagos who is always battling to break-even due to high cost of rent, taxes & transport. Due to envy & state sponsored victimization of Igbos, I wud rather do my papers & travel to another African country to do business than stay in Lagos!

I was only making a general knowledge statement about Igbos being traders who need to travel because of their business. 2day, Cultism, Rituals, Kidnapping, armed robbery etc is more rife in D west than D East. D East is much safer than Lagos were armed robbery, "one chance" & banditry is the order of D day. Like I said, it may take you an entire century to realise that not everyone out there is given to these foolish tribal supremacy e-fights.
