The most surprising is that the officers and men of the Nigerian police and the Nigerian military are apparently helpless,probably ill epuipped to fight the war.

On Tuesday 5th of January,2016,these guys came in a BROAD DAYLIGHT to kidnap one man(who was eventually killed in the process) along Omoku road Ahoada,very close to police barracks and JTF base. The road(a major road for that matter) was blocked for close to an hour,members of JTF belatedly intervened but could not do much.None of the boys was killed,none was arrested,all escaped.

Federal and Rvers state governments should please do something urgently to arrest the ongoing harvests of death in rivers state.

Truly, as a Rivers indigene, I don't think we have a Governor yet. Level of insecurity in Rivers state very high. No day passes in Rivers state without one news of kidnap, murder, cult clash or even attempted assassination. Omoku, Ahoada, Abua and many parts of d riverine side are all no go areas. Just yesterday in Buguma, combined team of security agents raided several homes where several ammunitions and several PVC cards were recovered in home of d caretaker chairman of Asari Toro LGA newly appointed by governor Wike. Almost all d current caretaker chairmen under Wike are either ex militants or active militant. The same thing goes to many House of Assembly members in Rivers state. More than 7 of them are militants. If not for both d election tribunal and d appeal court that sacked them.

Unfortunately this is true, omoku used to be a town with night life, but these days staying out beyond 7pm is not advised. The problem is they don't even have a clear idea why the are killing thier selves. The ripple effects extends to obrikom, mgbede and axis.

You are very correct with your write-up, a fellow just hinted me yesterday about those atrocities you noted (he's from Ahoada) and I was thinking he exagerated those events. But, by your write-up, I think he under-toned his assertions.

I spent 60% of my time last year in ebocha and the problem there is a PDP created problem, unfortunately it has gone beyond PDP. This issue has gone beyond playing politics with. Left for me the military men there are due a transfer.
