Wrong!! Single yellow lines indicate that you can only wait partially (for a short period) in your car but can't permanently park. Double yellow lines mean you can't wait at all safe/unless on rare occasions. Different waiting restrictions are applied to single and double yellow lines... Red lines have stricter restrictions, I think..

Funny thing is, I am not quite sure whoever applied those road markings is traffic guidance savvy because those sharp bends and probable tight areas should have been marked with double yellows..
