( Photos) A Trip To The 2015 Award Winning Best Secondary School In Nigeria

Lorreto Senior Special Science Secndary School Adazi-Nnukwu Anaocha LGA of Anambra state on the 5th of October 2015 won the Presidential Award of the Best Secondary School (senior category) after defeating her counterparts from other states in several science oriented inter school debates. Another school from Anambra state also won the Junior category. Award.

Lorreto, was among the many schools handed back to her original owners (Missionary) by the Peter Obi's administration, in a new govt educational policy that enables the missions manage the school while govt pays teyachers salaries. This simple policy had over the last 4years set Anambra state on an unrivalled educational revolution that has seen her dominate all aspect of the education sectors in Nigeria at both primary and secondary school levels!

Adazi-Nnukwu is a rural community about 10km south-east of Awka the Anambra state capital. Lorreto is an all girls school while another Govt-mission secondary school for Boys is Bubbendoff Memorial Grammar school all located in Adazi-Nnukwu!

Pictures they say speaks louder than Voice!

Welcome to Lorreto!!

Quite impressive.
And where are the very expensive private schools? Or they didn't get to participate in the competition?

Anambra has finished this country in every measure of excellence. Can't you see how organized and disciplined these pupils are? I can't believe this in Nigeria. If you still doubt why they lead in Common Entrance, WAEC, NECO and JAMB, then something must be wrong with you. I foresee educational tourism in Anambra.

A lot of people fail to understand that Anambra took an olive branch from the American Charter School model. Charter schools are merely public schools; they receive funding from the state however they exercise autonomy on how they choose to run their school just as private schools do. It's a wonderful model that other states should look at. Be warned... can be expensive as missionary is not cheap!

The Competition is open for all schools just like external exams. All government schoools in Anambra today are either managed by Missions or host communities. The role of government is simply to provide necessary funds needed for its day to day runnings!

As per expensive Private schools in Anambra they know there place naa

kudos to the state smiley
but Amaechi secondary schools in Rivers will take over this mantle in the nearest future cool
It's not about the beauty of the school or how expensive the school looks, it's about the management of Anambra Secondary public school system which is unique from other states.
