Clearance means you have been confirmed to have been through with your school's activities like payment of alumni, bursary, departmental and faculty clearance and as well as sport, library and school security( this varies in most PCIs). And the school have to bear in mind that you're not in any way owing the school and that you've been certified to be handed over to the NYSC commission board.

This means that, without this clearance, it is believed that you're owing the school... It could be different from state, federal polytechnics or private PCIs as they have different ways of clearing their students.

Good day fellow PCMs....and how has been our day?
Mr senate President sire, I think this particular question has been addressed here several times. The main issue is that, SSANU strike may/may not affect A'16 mobilization.
May in the sense that, where the most active and important/needed staff of a particular school is made of senior university staff member, then that particular school will be having a little hitch as this is the same set of people to do all the uploading and every other things that school need to fulfill before the pcm can be mobilized.
May not in the sense that reverse might be the case. I.e the school's DSA may be made up up of junior staffs (NASU member majorly).With this,ssanu strike will have no effect in mobilization.

However, anything can happen as we re in Nigeria! But the best thing for is to do is to pray against any form of delay on our way!

You are very correct clearance has nothing to do with mobilization it is only needed when one want to collect there CERTIFICATE and STATEMENT OF RESULT.

I really agree with you... The only SSANU members under the umbrella of DSA is the Dean of students affairs and the Director of Students affairs... The rest of them are NASU members... From my institution... If you don't meet the dean, you have to meet with the director and the rest of them are answerable to them... And are common staffs.

What I'm saying is that the school will mobilize students whether or not they'v done their clearance its left for the students to complete their clearance so as to collect their result and certificate before going to service.
