This does not come as a surprise to some while it will come as a big surprise to others, after successfully releasing its first android powered device the BlackBerry Priv which was globally accepted BlackBerry finally took the tough decision, BlackBerry therefore announced that it is going totally in as far Android is concerned. The CEO of BlackBerry John Chen confirmed this in an interview at the CES saying that all the BlackBerry device that will be released this year will be powered by the Google’s OS which Android OS.

The OS was very nice (I personally liked the fact that it was open, but still very fast unlike Android, even though it ran on Unix, an offshoot of Linux), but lack of app support by these lazy/discriminating developers killed it off.

I just feel John Chen took the right move to save his company and am very sure the shareholder will be on his neck

i am seriously waiting for the mobile phone they will release this year and the price because the BlackBerry Priv is still around 200k in Nigerian mobile market
