He was never seen as a heavy weight. He wasnt really known as an opposition with impact.

No Nigerian politician has been in opposition for the last 17years. Reason is because power has been changing hands all these while. For example I was in opposition during GEJ but I am now part of the ruling party with Buhari.

You cannot dictate to me how I should live my life. You need to learn to mind your business. Stop poke-nosing into other people's business. It's pathetic already!

1. Your tribe cannot be more united than the Igbos. The last 2015 general elections proved to enemies and naysayers that the Igbos spoke with one voice. How then do you think Igbos were able to succeed in business than ANY OTHER despite the impediments posed by the powers that be? Instead of resorting to cheap propaganda go and make proper enquiries.

2. You're simply spreading lies.
There's no tribe that's more accommodating and considerate than the Igbos.
Over the decades Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis have proven to have voted along tribal lines. But not so with the Igbos.
At those times Igbos built ties, formed alliances and voted for Northerners (Shagari - 1979, Yaradua - 2007), Yorubas (Abiola - 1993, Obj 2x - 1999 & 2003) and Ijaw (GEJ - 2007) to enable them get the presidency even at the expense of Igbo men. That's an indisputable fact! 

3. Lying propagandist, can you point out one Igbo leader that ever maligned or insulted your parents or people and I'll list at least 10 of renowned tribalist whom you lots even shove down the throats of other people as nationalist?

4. Take your regional party, IGBOS ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE PRESIDENCY TO SURVIVE!

5. The most greedy people are found in the North and SW. Overy the years the set of people have ruined the fortune of this country with their unbridled treasury looting. If you're still feigning ignorance I shall oblige you with the compendium.

These greedy elites own more than 85% of oil wells while impoverishing the Niger-deltans and destroying the environment.
These set of people are responsible for the exorbitant cost of plots of lands in Lagos and Abuja. Pray tell, why would a plot of land be sold for N300 million to Igbos and in some cases a billion naira? How many of you lots can spare N20 million for choice lands in Igboland? Is that not greed?

You lots are invariably the confirmed greedy people!

I have told my yoruba folks times without number not to engage in petty argument with these people from east of naija, they are attention seekers. Slap them with facts and see them mellow out.
Just to slap them with some facts, when democracy returned in 1999, all tribes in nigeria be it major or minor have the same level playing ground. It is obvious the igbos have played their cards terribly wrong because none of the 6 eastern states governors in 1999 namely Orji Kalu (Abia), Chinweoke Mbadinuju (Anambra), Chimroke Nnamani (Enugu), Achike Udenwa (Imo) and Sam Egwu (Ebonyi) remain relevant in Nigeria politics now. I repeat NONE. In 1999, Tinubu was just a not too experienced politian, now he has political protege has governors, vice president and ministers. In that same 1999, Goodluck Jonathan and Umaru Yar'adua were naive politicians that just left lecturing jobs to become deputy governor and governor. Both of them by playing their political cards smartly eventually became president for 3 and 5 years respectively. 
Just a breakdown: In the last 17 years of democratic rule;
Yoruba: President - 8 years (Obasanjo); Vice President - 1 year (Osinbajo)

Hausa/Fulani: President - 4 years (Yar'adua 3, Buhari 1); Vice president - 13 years (Atiku 8, Sambo 5)

Ijaw: President - 5 years (Goodluck); Vice president - 3 years (Goodluck).

Sad enough, the future looks bleak for the igbos because as usual, they have played their political cards wrong yet again. As a matter of fact, the igbos are not likely to become president earlier than 2039 because, Hausa/Fulani who rule till 2023, then power shifts to south. Yorubas having played their political cards smartly will rule again with either of these 3 prospective candidates of Fashola, Osinbajo or Saraki. The power will move back to the north for another 8 years before coming back to south in 2039. If the igbos become smart by then, their candidature can be considered. We know they will cry marginalization and discrimination during this period, but we shall let them know that we have heard that before
