If Dammy Krane is referring to his track called 'Headache' then he has a right to be pissed. Wizkid's 'Ginger' was almost exactly the same as 'headache' and i think it sold more cos Wizzy has more exposure. It will pain anyone.

Meanwhile I am waiting to know who stole whos track between Don Jazzy and Kcee. jantamanta and Ebeano are too similar to be a coincidence and they came out almost exactly the same time. I was wondering if that was why Kcee immediately took Olamides side in the Back to Back; come and collect it saga.

Dammy Krane seem to be having an issue with Wizkid at the moment, the Hypertek Act in a series of tweet blasted Wizkid for stealing his song, below is a screenshot of his tweets, we still wonder what Wizkid actually stole from him

The only thing that caught my fancy was the theft accusation. One of my greatest fears every time I sit down to write a song, a poem or a novel, is intellectual theft. Even as I write this comment, I know there are enough thieves around waiting to steal my comment and pass it around as theirs.

To the topic, I have only heard just one side of the story. The theft issue caught my fancy because Dammy Krane sounds sincerely pissed off like how I felt when I saw a quote I composed right on a greeting card without the maker of the card (I don't even know them) acknowledging me. I felt so angry and helpless.

I just don't know what to say.

What people don't get is that it doesn't matter who is the better musician/entertainer. If your work is stolen, it hurts. It doesnt matter by who. Plagiarism/copyright infringement is a serious crime. I mean taking someone else's intellectual work is really really annoying.

I confided in someone about some project idea I had and was still gathering materials for it only for the same person to come to me with a friend's work years later. Not only did the person give her friend my ideas, but the friend also did a shoddy piece of assemblage and I just shook my head. I confronted the confidant and as expected I got denials.
Artists steal everyday. Just give any of them your demo tape and the next week you are listening to a new single from the artist with your work modified and adapted to his style. And when you raise ruckus, people will say you are trying to ride on the thief's success and launch your career.

A lot of these guys are thieves. Stealing from each other when they get the chance to. The other time it was D'banj and Olamide and people called D'banj all sorts of names saying his career is dead. But the truth is D'banj remains a bigger artist till tomorrow. Olamide is just a local act while D'banj is international. You can only compare him to 2face Idibia. That is the league he is in. Big can steal from small, small can steal from big, it goes both ways.
