i opened a tread last month here about needing building materials to work on my land, this guy called me and offer to supply them for me,i invited him to my house December period for familiarization and told him i will be starting my project 15th of Jan, i told him all i have in place now is to buy booth which i and my dad will use while visiting the land, cuse its swampy, he told me he can buy booth for me at a cheaper price of 3k each, that is 6k , i gave him 3k and we agreed when he bring the next days i will give him 3k balance, up till now he is avoiding me and i just discovered he has blocked me on wazapp,i dont know why a guy will come n steal ordinary 3k when we still have big business agreement on the road, i am suspecting he ran away cuse i told him i will not commit money till i see my building material and God saved me,if i had given this thief 200k as advance it would have been a more bad situation 4me.

mr contractor like u caled your self,just know i will still get u,3k is small oo but u wont steal a penny from me i assure u

moderators please try your possible best to weed off scammers to the barest minimum on nl especially property section ....i do go to other trends and boldly say there is little or no scam on prop section it will be a shame if someone who saw my post now proved me wrong....
to that scammer,what can 3k do to your life for crying out loud,Mr Tosin on prop section once gave me a design job and my laptop got spoilt along the line of almost completing it and I called him to explain that the job might delay a little longer and guess what,to my surprise he gave me an additional 10k to add up and buy a brand new PC...
there are actually good people on prop section pls these scammers shouldn't spoil this good name.

One needs to be really really careful on NL.
I have personally had my share of fraudsters on NL, with the main one being a builder here called BRABUS !
It amazes me that the mods are still allowing them to thrive despite the weight of the evidence against them.

I will say post his pictures and information... if it is not allowed the Moderator will remove it.
There was a picture of some guys from the East ( I believe it's in Owerri) that were setting-up
Nairalanders and robbing them. Someone here got their pictures and posted it.
Go ahead and expose the thief.

Wondering why lawyer and seun will always fold their hands and watch people defrauding their customers and still allow them post adverts here. Not good at all.

If a customer complains about any contractor with a proof,let the contractor come out to defend himself /herself and If otherwise, BAN the person for life rather than allowing them to continue scamming people.

I have taken notice of something on nairaland, many always want to appear saint on nairaland, thy want to have an untarnished image, clean records and good reputation but when you get to meet the real them in the physical world, you get to know that they are people bound to be run away from.

#Note: most people like to 'form' saint on nairaland, deal with nairalanders with care and make background checks.

The rate at which scams reported and unreported spring up nowadays on nairaland is mind boggling.

Always do background checks before you transact money with nairalanders even if it is #100.

I hope to find time and come up with a solution of helping everyone make NL scam free......doing business online is good.....but scams make it horrible and regretting.
