Troops Kill Boko Haram Fighters During Battle In Babangida; Yobe (Graphic Pic) by dre11(op): 10:36pm On Jan 15, 2016

Troops on Friday routed some Boko Haram insurgents in Yobe State.
A security source told DAILY POST that the gun duel took place in a settlement in Babangida area.

The sect members on sighting the troops started shooting sporadically.
The retaliation by soldiers resulted in death of many members of the sect.

Several weapons were recovered after the fighters had been killed.

DAILY POST obtained some images of the battle Friday evening.

I called my Bro early in d afternoon... I was hearing gun shot couldn't hear a tin he was saying I later found out his fone was on automatic receive... when he called later he said they were under attack by Boko Haram but they managed to kill dem all... I was scared and ask him to quit d military but he wouldn't... I was always refreshing d nairaland forum to see d news which I just saw now.... please friends nigeria army really need our prayers

the war has been won.... the president is plugging the loopholes that have made the money budgeted for military hardware to be stolen by some crooks

that's why the war kept on for soo long.

These people are just foot soldiers carrying out assignments of their task-master. For insurgency to be tackled properly, the financiers should be apprehended and brought to book.

I applaud the NA for their tireless efforts towards combating terrorism...
