LordAdam:
Bros, if you will be truthful to yourself, the ND struggle is the first successful agitation in Nigeria's history. Tompolo, Boyloaf, Ateke Tom and others held Nigeria to a standstill before, they can do it again.

The problem of underdevelopment in the SS even after the successful struggle is a different issue altogether. It also bedevils other regions, including the north, east, and west. So I fail to see your point.

Lastly, the army under Jonathan killed John Togo, so I don't get your point.

Let PMB retaliate. PMB is not Gowon! Mk him shift go one side.

They held ND to a standstill not Nigeria undecided

The masses empathized with it because they believed the agitation was just but this time around you will cry for them undecided

Do you want compare bravery of Boko haram with militants? There is wide difference because Boko Haram are so deadly that they do not mind to die will militants are so coward that they do not want die. I bet you slight attack on them by the Nigerian military, they will all disperse, surrender and flee for their life.
do u mean bravery?let me tell u bokoharam are cowards if nt yyy are dey after soft targets?

Ok, i totally agree with you. But, if i get you right, your proposition is away from the recent happenings. Would u recommend a dialogue between FG n Tompolo/Ijaw ppl or just let Tompolo go and concentrate on looters from other stateshuh
Personally, I thought Buhari could have saved the best for last. The Niger Delta is a delicate zone and could have been the last to indict in this fight against corruption.
Let me hear further from you
calaway:
have you not heard that there has been calls by the ijaws against the government bordering on the fact that the oil and gas well in the ss are ownd by hausa people and operated by multinationals headed by yoruba and locating these oil company headquarters and allied services in lagos where taxes are also paid.

the pmb government should without delay>

0.respect the autonomy of the judiciary and right to fair trail of citizens also understanding that he does not own Nigeria and must be nationalistic in his approach must call all genuine aggrieved to a dialogue and address all injustice and inequity.
1.Arrest and prosecute senator Enang for for stealing the original budget and smuggling into the senate a forged copy of the most impotant government document this year. this is the height of criminality. senator enang is a thief working for buhari!!!!
2.Arrest and prosecute fashola and ameachi duo who have been implicated by probe panels for theft.
3.Visit the Halliburton matter that has seen four high profile Americans get jail terms while the architect and planner in Nigeria is the APC navigator.

Anasko:
MILITANTS continued bombing of oil installations, last night, in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The details were still sketchy this morning, but it was learned that they blew up the Abiteye flow station and Sagara to Chevron pipelines.

“Some of are already trapped in our communities because of the bombings, the target for now may be Chevron facilities,” a worried riverside dweller told Vanguard.

More details coming

It's all about perspective. If you think they held ND to a standstill and not Nigeria, that's your cup of tea. But a lot of people, including me, will beg to differ.

I am not speaking for the militants, I am only making an informed analysis of the situation.

My advice is that PMB treads carefully. Anyone politicizing or making this about a region does not have the region, the nation and the citizenry at heart.

Tompolo is not Nnamdi Kanu.

I still blame the past administration of GEJ for empowering, politicising and monetising these rogues, it is a costly mistake that would cost the country a lot. The best they would have done, is absorbing those Militants that were granted Amnesty into the Military, the police force and other para military agencies, thereby providing payable jobs for them, not giving them free Money all in the name of paying 'Ex Militants'. The amount of money wasted so far in this fight against Boko Haram is enormous, I don't think the country can sustain going head long against this ND Militants.

LordAdam:
Yesterday, Tompolo distanced himself from the attacks.

Tompolo is in a quagmire. First, the success of the ND freedom fight was because there were a lot of groups with shared objectives fighting concurrently in different sections of the SS. Now, it is just Tompolo, and, if he was fighting, his reason for fighting would be for himself and not the region, which means he would not enjoy the wide support from the majority of militants.

Two, most of the militants are already enjoying a massive welfare package and will be less likely to return to the creeks because of one commander's selfish interests.

But with that said, we should all remember that Tompolo has been receiving at least N1b from the government every month in personal

welfare packages and defense contracts since Amnesty started in 2009. That is aside the obvious bunkering he has been involved in as a side gig.

Also, remember how he bought a war ship sometime ago? The fact is that at the moment, Tompolo has the money, the means, and the connections to prosecute a war on the Nigerian state without even been in the country. With the supply glut, low oil prices, and an army that is reeling from a challenging BH war, Nigeria will not be as ready to fight this renewed conflict as they were earlier under Yaradua.

But then again, Tompolo can't just submit himself to the authorities. The authorities have a poor record of respecting the judiciary. That is the quagmire. Once again, thousands will likely die because of the interests and actions of a few.

There are many young and restless ones that will pick up the fight.old generals will go and the young ones will take over and place their demand.

LordAdam:
Bros, use your brain. How did they fight the FG to a standstill in 2008?

Believe it or not, Tompolo right now is more powerful than he was in 2008. If you are not from ND and did not follow the Freedom Fight don't diplay your ignorance.

Tompolo today is far richer and has acquired more weapons than he had in 2009. Do you remember that Nigerian territorial waters has the second worst case of piracy after Somalia? Those boys can bring in a rocket through the waters and nothing will happen, that's what I mean by the means and connections.

How did they get their guns before? Their associates that buy their illegal crude are some of the world's most wanted people? Do you know the size of the illegal arms trade? If you have not witnessed war, don't yap about like a kindergaten. We are not talking about firecrackers. All those spurring the NA to war should be careful of what they wish for.

We are in a recession and you want to fight a war with an undefeated war lord who is more powerful today than he was six years ago. The small money that we should use to develop the country would be used to prosecute the war? What about our soldiers that would be fighting wars on two fronts? Or the humanitarian cost of the war? A country must always pursue the most viable course of action that will lead to the least loss of lives of its citizenry. Right now, a war with Tompolo is not that course of action.

I just laugh @ Lord, he doesn't know you cannot fight government no matter how much billions you have acquired. Worse come to worst the whole Country will suffer for the oil facilities destroyed and I can tell you it's the ND that will suffer for it the most coz your land will be the war zone, your only source of livelihood is Oil other regions have other things they are into. So I advice the likes of @Lord making mouth to better warn Tompolo to submit himself.

Funny enough I have this conspiracy theory that it's competing militants or bitter Ijaw chieftains pained on how tompolo cheated them of billions that are sponsoring these attacks so that tompolo cud either be quickly arrested or killed.
This is because unless tompolo is unimagibly stu pid, he wud know that any explosion linked to him wud make his hunt by d fg very quick, brief and most likely fatal to him.
Now he not only has got the police searching for him,the army too will get involved and experiences of BH and the Shiites that tried defying the Nigerian military under these new generals do not make for pleasant reading.
don't compare shitte to militant.
