4×4=16ft.... it'll run through 4 ceiling boards.
1. 2×4= 4.8meters. and not 5 meters..

well, the point you are making is not to be left unnoticed, The cord is really long, can't picture myself using this kinda cord..

It shld be 4.8768m.... Approximation to 5m isn't bad. Engineers work with Precision.

The effectiveness of the cable depends on the quality of the material used. Yes its true that the longer the wire, the higher resistance but a GOOD manufacturer would have kept that in mind and compensate for that. MOST of these Chinese brands are junks

I have a 10ft cable made by a company called ANKER. Bought on amazon

Works like a magic. Quick charging too. But i'm in Florida, so not sure how it will perform when i come naija next

Well, it's a nice innovation but very inefficient.

As an Engineer, I would tell you, the longer the length, the lower the voltage across the terminals of the USB port. This is because the resistance has increased greatly by the increase in length, hence reducing the charging current of the usb cord due to attenuation of the signal (current) and will take longer time for the phone to charge up when compared to charging it at a shorter length.

The only way to compensate for this and make it charge faster is if at some length along the cable, the current is amplified (Gain increased) because it had already attenuated as a result of distance. N.B: Remember that the current here is in the Miliampere range (mA).

I don't really see the practical use of this in real life except improved upon.
