African Will Always Be A Failed Continent...... A Nigerian Case Study by Eddygourdo(op): 2:23pm On Jan 16, 2016
I voted for buhari, not because I love him or believe in him, but because I wanted a more competitive political terrain for my dear country, even God wanted same and thus made it possible that today we have a new party at federal level, but should we allow another pdp type impunity to brew again from the Apc? That for the next 16 years we wallow again in mediocrity and party followership. I sure would guess not. Simply put, the emergence of the Apc as the ruling party has opened doors for me to make my next declaration "I FORSEE A FUTURE WHERE THE NIGERIAN ELECTORATE WOULD NO LONGER BE PARTISAN BUT RATHER STATESMEN DRIVEN ONLY BY HUNGER FOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COUNTRY NIGERIA"

looking through many topics on this forum, I come to a conclusion that the biased and hypocritical nature of a typical Nigerian will forever be cloud him from judging rightly for himself or for this nation. The issue is that a black man is a flawed being. He blindly identifies with differences and is opposed to similarities. This is simply why the most uniting factor in Nigeria is tribe and religion. These two social platforms form a major basis of our divisions, the concepts in themselves are too deep for a typical Nigerian to realise when to stop the differentiation. That's why even in the south West, an ijebu man is regarded a leper, in the south East an abakaliki person is regarded as second class etc despite being Igbos, yorubas, hausas, fulani etc yet we are very good at picking out our differences till we self implode.

Look at nairaland, see the hatred people have towards the current government, see the love people have towards the current government, all hatred and love not based on sound judgement but partisan affiliation, tribe, religion or trolling behaviour. One cannot get am objective Nigerian anymore.

Well I am an objective Nigerian, I wish this government the best, I commend it's corruption fight, I condemn it's methods of corruption fight where it is slowly become tyrannical, where the President doesn't obey the laws, I condemn it's unlawful incarceration of individuals whom the courts have freed, I condemn it's shady dealings with respect to the budget, I commend it's attacks on corrupt institutions etc.

As an objective Nigerian, I will commend and condemn as it comes without showing support to evil based on party affiliation, tribe or religion. Africa is bereft of objective people who would admit the truth, say the truth, learn from the truth and finally be the truth we profess.

I am eddygourdo, the objective nigerian

**** Why not go bleach yourself white so you can be happy? Today children are starving in Syria. The entire country is in chaos with people fleeing. Same in Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya etc. Shiites against Sunnis everywhere. Name ONE Arab country where people are free to criticise their govt. Yet despite all this, I've not seen or heard any Arab proclaim their inferiority based on those tragedies. But in Nigeria? "Oh Buhari did not obey court order, so black people are flawed". Compound idio.t.

@Op, I stoutly identify with all d points raised in ur submission which is totally correct. I often times raise this subject that d black race has a deep seated problem/ curse that it truely needs to b exorcised from. From all indices, its apparent that there's very limited hope for Africa and by extension d black race. I hope I'm being proven wrong though...

The only curse we have is that there are too many people like you who believe that our political/developmental/social challenges are a sign of racial inferiority. The sooner we are rid of your type the better. Stalin slaughtered 30 million Russians in the last century. Europe in total lost over 120 million people to war and conflict then. But you will NEVER see a white person saying their race is 'cursed' or 'flawed' etc. They simply get on with life. But our resident buffoons here still suffering the effects of colonialism think any problem they face is due to their skin colour. Compound fools.

U are making a lot of sense but less of abuse will allow ur message to be better assimilated. A lot of Africans share same opinion as the op especially the literate and educated ones.Kuwait in the 50s is far worse that Afica but at the beginning of the 80s there fate changed...if a lot of them compare history of europeans and ours they will realizewe share similar unpallatable history but after a little tweaking here and there they got it right. As at today 10 of the fastest growing econimies resides in Africa...what make us think with some little tweaking here and there we too wont get it right? After 16 years we successfully replace a ruling party a feat that took most europeans and america decades to achieve... The interval between 1st and 2nd world war which I can call european war was just 20 years despite treaty signed after the 1st war... The kiriji war treaty was signed over 100 years ago yet the treaty still hold... The chinese despite there historical advantage is a far worse countrt than most african countries in the 20s but today... We too shall get there... We are not cursed...every other race had their downtime

Thanks. I can NEVER be nice or civil to people who say the black race is inferior to other races. Such people are the real curse we have. Note that they are usually very selfish. They never extend this wand of inferiority to themselves or their families. It is always OTHER blacks they consider "flawed". They have a mental disease called racial inferiority complex and self-hate, and you cannot rid them of it by being nice to them.

I have just started a little movement, it's still in its infancy. But I have great hopes for it. Hopefully that platform will attract real Nigerians, where we will have an unbiased voice of reason and hopefully in 10 years, have a vibrant nationalistic youth as the presidential candidate of our political party arm. I will walk the talk. I must walk the talk. Lest my children remember amongst the lots of theives and corruption

I agree with you... But saying a black man is flawed... I dont agree with you .
If you said humans in general are flawed id agree...
But u specifically referring to a black man as flawed, higlights inferiority complex.
You should have said "challenges a black man has to overcome is so so and so" or something like that.
Because it is challenging for a black man to not identify with differences and oppose similarities does not necessarily make him flawed.
Take note.

Well true but we can create a new order. If you create a good thing, it must one day be found appealing, this is an edge quality offerings have over nonsense. It will always one dat make sense thus fuel interest. If my front attracts people of like minds, real educated people, people with a vision for Nigeria. Believe u me in time people will take notice and who knows where it would go

Rossik is always pained when black people are scolded to sit up and stop making a mess of the greatest continent on planet earth.
The truth is that while the average African is not an interior being, he has been seriously psychologically battered. His rational mind has been been severely uttered by the combination of slavery, colonization, neo- colonization, exploitation, global political bullying against his wish and so much more unthinkable vices.
Addressing the issue of tribalism, religion etc, We have to understand that most western countries were naturally formed by the people for the betterment of themselves and there ancestral lands, but most countries in Africa today were formed by opportunist and soldiers of fortune who forcefully killed, displaced, and exploited them for the benefit of themselves without regards to the owner of the lands, This is a fact.

It is only natural that people with different ideologies to life find it hard to co-exist. Case in point, if you uproot Saudi Arabia and make it a state in America to be governed by a unitary law which would take away their right to practice their ideologies and way of life as they know it now, what do you think would happen?

To this effect i have, resolved to only partake in any struggle that with see the present constitution jettisoned for a truly restructured and decentralized country where the individual comprising entities would make and decided how they want to live.

If this is achieve in the lifetime, then the next step will be totally autonomy of the individual regions of Nigeria.

Enough of living a lie.

You made some points but your conjecture ruined the writeup. Example, tell me where in the SW that an ijebu man is discriminated against or called a leper?

wow. Am speechless. Thank you for this. Truly the African isn't inferior. Anyway we need to think ways of Acheiving these objectives. It falls on the youth to be the great thinkers of our generation. Guess there must be a way to recreate our existence despite the opposition from the stagnated. Well I need free and good thinkers like you in my movement. No violence, no fraud, just upright nation builders with the Brains to outsmart our dull opponents thus restructure our country, infiltrate them, surprise them with our wits, raise true leaders that are 21st century compliant.

I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous. If that were true, an Ijebu man like Awolowo wouldn't be regarded as the greatest Yoruba leader of modern times. Please don't extrapolate from your restricted set of self-loathers to everyone else.

Thanks for telling me that I am lying about my own experiences: it must be wonderful having the ability to discern the lives of others over the internet.

Your claim is simply rubbish: the idea that Ibadan or Ijebu people are somehow singled out for contempt in any way is outright ridiculous. How could it be so, when even millions of non-Yoruba people are allowed to live and prosper in the south-west?

You claim to not be Yoruba, and yet somehow imagine that you could still possibly better than Yoruba people how they people feel about each other, as if you could ever have nearly as many Yoruba acquaintances as the average Yoruba person could: if you can't see the contradiction in such a claim, then it ought to be obvious that the only ones suffering from "inferiority" in this discussion are you and those who support you, not "the black man" in general.
