iCloud Exposes Lagos-based Armed Robbers by gist4kidsblog(op): 10:29am On Jan 18, 2016

A girl was robbed at Ajah Roundabout in Lagos, last week. Her bag was taken from her and in it was her iPhone, which she had integrated to an iCloud account, linked to her iPad, which wasn't stolen.

And this was unknown to the robbers.
They took several pictures with the phone and the pictures were automatically uploaded to the victim's iCloud account, which she accesses through her iPad.

The phone has likely been sold to the couple whose pictures appear at the bottom of the collage about.

According to the victim's iPhone tracker, the current location of the phone is somewhere around Itanotun and Olorunsogo streets in Ikorodu Lagos.

She released these pictures to see if they could help in tracking down the thieves.

When she report the case to naija police now they will request for her birth certificate nd house rent reciept.

Amazing...

She shouldn't have released the pictures yet. A video shot with that phone would reveal a lot.
Now those criminals would "flash" the phone and wipe all traceabilities.

have they been caught? if not technology hasn't exposed them because even tho we do the whole bank bvn, mtn sim registration and fingerprints ish, we got no database to follow up on criminal activities even when its placed on our laps like this one here, its by the grace of God all if any one in the public knows them can they be handed over to the police
