A congratulatory call depicts a sense of sportsmanship which our politics needs at the moment. I am trying to see how a call made in good faith can nullify or even diminish the probability of the other party in seeking a redress.

Politic should not necessarily be too formal a game played only by stolid and unpliable players.

Buhari should learn to free himself from being unduly uptight.

I quite agree with you on the bolded. PMB could not hide his joy that GEJ called him to congratulate him even when the result was officially unannounced. The winner takes it all is what we are seeing today. Quite undemocratic.

Smh seriously. Sometimes,I wonder if people actually do think about what they intend to say,before they spill it out in public. How does a mere congratulatory message become such a big deal,considering the tension the elections generated,and the lives lost? This is lame, congratulatory messages are formal. It doesn't necessarily indicate love or support. He's been sending congratulatory messages to other African countries, so this is hypocritical/not consistent.
