Pique will play since he's not going to play against Malaga at the weekend because of yellow card accumulation. Messi also might not be risked from the start in that game. Munir is most likely to start ahead of him. We might also see a double pivot as against Español in the cup 2nd leg, in order to limit their chances at our goal.

And I doubt Messi would be deployed in the false 9 role. It seems Messi enjoys playing from the wing now, which gives him more freedom to roam and operate from deep. Even in matches where he was deployed in that role on paper, he didn't actually play from there.

My main concern is who is gonna fill up the striking role since for me I doubt Messi would play there.

Let's wait and see though.

Sports now reports that Messi is definitely ruled out against Athletic Club. His availability for Málaga game remains a doubt. So Enrique must find a solution to solve his absence and that of Suárez's. Neymar is going to be the key attacker around in Bilbao. Munir is likely to spearhead attack. Our tactics on the night would be to stop them from scoring. I'm sure we'll settle matters in Camp Nou.

My most concern is that, the absence of Suarez and Messi would mean that they would focus their attention mainly on Neymar, maybe tying several men to him. But then, in matches like this he plays freely. He would be far from his usual LW in most cases, so that would come in handy. It's now a matter of conversion.

Besides, since we have Arda, I feel we could play Arda at LW while Neymar plays centrally, and then deploy Vidal or Munir at RW.

I think Munir would likely play the central role while Ney stays in his position with the freedom of movement. Roberto/Arda may complete the front three. Neymar has the responsibility of leading the attack whichever position he starts from and he's trusted to do it perfectly. The midfield will be packed in order to limit their effectiveness. We may not score much goals, but we definitely will not loose the match.

Dani Alves has not-so-subtly responded to the latest jibe from Cristiano Ronaldo by posting a list of his honours won as a footballer... and a polite "Good morning!" message.

Hmmmm! Have you ever wondered why we're so abundantly blessed at Barca? Many if not all EPL teams would be ready to slit their mother's throat to have just one of Neyboi, Suarez or god-Messi! But here we are, apparently moaning a possible absence of Messi and Suarez! We're indeed blessed. I'm honoured to enjoy such privilege. I truly am!
