OBJ was a far tougher leader who took a hardline stance against the militants. I suggest that Buhari supporters go ask the former leader how he faired during the Niger Delta insurgency & read up on that conflict itself, especially when it escalated. Maybe then they'll have a rethink.

Really did not want to get involved. But please check up the ICC n read about its procedure for prosecution. 95% of cases filed at the ICC do not get prosecuted. South South should ask their Governors, Senators and Representatives what they are using their allocation for, apart from the fact that they get more allocation than all states in the Federation, they still have a Niger Delta Ministry......The question we should ask is where is the impact of all the funds allocated....simple it has been embezzled.

It's time we all wake up to the reality. Tompolo, Asari Dokubo and other militants head are just using the Government to become more wealthy without any effect on the citizens.

I lived in Kporghor a community in Ogoni for 2years. I have been to Bayelsa Delta and other NDstates, I be confirm PH boy. The Amesty has not made ND better, it has enriched a very microscopic few, the Amnesty was not designed to work but to settle criminals. There is need to draw up an enduring all inclusive plan, the environment and locals need to be catered for.

The BH guys are a kind of perculiar and difficult case to deal with because they die for their cause. So how do you combat a man that willing blows up himself? You have to be very cunny and use unconventional wisdom to deal with him. ND millitant on the other hand are economic criminals who love life too much. They are child's play compared to the BH guys and government should use them to set example for people planing to take up arms against the state. The one reason among others they lasted this long is because of the then crude oil price, now the price of oil is very low and it contributes a very small percentage of our budget, so they will get what they want this time around.

Millitants are not agitating for the people or their environment, its all about them.

Bro, I will never condone any act of treason or thievery be it in any form or from any tribe however, like you said, one must thread with caution when dealing with these guys.

I fault your assertion that these militants love life and can't risk being killed. I work in a very hostile environment and these guys are heartless. There is a silent ongoing war between them and JTF and almost on a daily basis, they either kill JTF or be killed by JTF. Some of them we have encountered are Satan personified. Be that as it may, they should not negotiate with one terrorist group and then boast to wipe out another. All should be dealt with accordingly. GEJ tried to wipe BH and he was accused of trying to reduce the population of the north. Same govt is trying to decimate militants and negotiate with BH, whose cause of fighting no one knows.
