Bartholomew Ibenegbu has stressed Nigeria are not getting carried away following their 4-1 win over Niger Republic claiming it has been business as usual in the Super Eagles’ camp.

Sunday Oliseh’s men produced the performance of the tournament so far by getting four goals past the Menas and take the early initiative in Group C.

Oliseh Promises Better Eagles Showing Against Tunisia :

Super Eagles manager Sunday Oliseh has stated that his team will look to improve when Nigeria confront the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Friday at the African Nations Championship here in Kigali.

Speaking after Nigeria’s emphatic 4-1 win over the Mena Of Niger Reuplic on Monday, Oliseh stated that he has charged his wards to step up the chase in Nigeria’s quest to pick another win on Friday, adding that that Super Eagles will keep fighting until the trophy is won.

Nigeria sent jitters down the spines of teams at the on-going Orange Africa Nations Championship after beating Niger Republic 4-1 to become the highest goal scoring side, but Oliseh maintained that the best is yet to come from his team.

“Yes lots of people might think we are there yet but I disagree with that because there is still a lot to come from this team and Nigerians will see their best as the tournament progresses," Oliseh told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“We played against a good side but one of the good things going for the team it’s the ability to take every game as they come and not looking down on our opponents.

“We will continue to fight as the tournament progresses and I can assure everyone that we won’t be leaving CHAN without a fight and we will keep up the fight until the trophy is won.”

Oliseh further showered encomiums on sports minister Solomon Dalung and the League Management Company for their positive influence on the team, saying their presence came as a morale booster for his players.

“I really want to thank the minister of Sports for his support towards the team and all I can say is that we won’t let Nigerians down,” Oliseh added.

Tunisia Captain Boasts: Akaichi Will Destroy Home Eagles

Tunisia are set to unleash their top striker, Ahmed Akaichi, on Nigeria in Friday's African Nations Championship Group C fixture at the Kigali Regional Stadium, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The big forward scored a brace in the side' s opening fixture against Guinea on Monday.

The North Africans who are still looking for their first win of the competition following the 2-2 draw against the Guineans are banking on Akaichi to help secure victory against the Super Eagles.

"Akaichi is our talisman and we are hoping he will be at his best against Nigeria," Tunisia captain, Ali Maloul, told Completesportsnigeria.com. at the side's Lemigo Hotel base here in Kigali.

"It was disappointing that we could not beat Guinea in the the first game, despite dominating the game.

"The story would have been different if we had converted all the chances we created in the game.

"But we believe we can still make it to the next stage especially with Akaichi at his best."

mosquito played below par in our win against niger, maybe too much of beach soccer has reduced his skills in the present team. i expect coach sunday oliseh to bench adeniji in our match against tunisia instead use golden boy chikatara, usman mohammed in place of mosquito ibenegbu and watch the team do better, we will beat tunisia though it will be tough, the land is green

Okay then..... It's time to face the tunisians led by "AKACHI".... Ooops.... I forgot he's not Igbo... **smiles** I mean "Akaichi".... Ahmed Akaichi.

Well, I wanna see Usman start in place of Ibenegbu. And I wanna see a return to the back-four for Oboroakpo (though the two centre-backs that finished the game against Niger put in a fine show, one of them might drop to the bench)..... All the same, it's OLISEH'S CALL.

Will Chikatara "the kolanut boy" start against Tunisia? Or should Adeniji be given another chance to lead the attack? I guess we'll find out won't we? *smiles*

Tunisia are one-time CHAN Champions as a result of their triumph in 2011. It's gonna be a tough tie but it's all down to Nigeria's form on the day because believe it or not, This HOME-BASED SUPER EAGLES can beat all comers at this tournament only if they consistently play to their full strength and potentials.
We're yet to see the best of Ifeanyi Matthew and Paul Onobi in this tournament. Hope they step it up more in this next game.

All the best Nigeria....
