REFLECTIONS: 17 Yrs of Military Rule Vs Democracy by Freegift75(op):
WHAT COULD HAVE BEING THE FATE OF NIGERIANS IF WE ARE STILL UNDER MILITARY RULES TILL DATE?

1966 - 1983: Note that on 17th year of Military rule
In Nigeria, Buhari was the Military Head of State. Now the 17th year of Democracy, same Buhari is the president.

Looking back to past 17 years of Democracy in this country, there are diverse proofs to regret the Military rule abolition.

Imagine the things our present day democratic leaders are doing all in the name of immunity clause, one will begin to consider military regime as the best option than civilian.

In the military rule there was a total rule of law, Tribal Unity, respect to national duties, massive employment rate and not only that, all what we enjoy now are the things accomplished during the military rule but bastardized by the democratic dispensation e.g. Electricity, Refineries, Airports, Education etc.

17 years of Democracy in Nigeria, nothing tangible has ever been achieved. Instead of these democratic leaders to maintain military tempo or create new ones, they prefer to take our money abroad to develop others.

I need a reasonable person to prove me wrong...!
TRUE REFLECTIONS:

The most remarkable achievements of the military rule in Nigeria include
(a)creation of states
(b)introduction of naira and kobo
(c) changing from left driving to right hand driving
(d) launching of the NYSC scheme
(e) launching of 0FN and UPE?
(F) refineries
(G)

The achievements of Nigerian military rule since independence is that there has been less crime, less destruction and bombings, and less violence.

Nigeria has also made strides in the educational and economical fields.

But what can we say of democracy

Don’t just challenge this fight if you do not have much points to prove me wrong

We cried for CHANGE and the baton was given to another trusted person. But with the situation of things right now, it is gradually becoming obvious that this democracy can never restore Nigeria of our dream.

Quote me, by 2019 after the end of this administration, nothing tangible would be recorded as achievement. It is not a curse. This is because our democracy has being bastardized.

The fundamental problem is LACK OF DISCIPLINE.

For a nation richly blessed with abundant resources yet, the citizens flourish in poverty. The only difference is that, the military steal with guns and the democratic government steal with pen. I say nothing has changed.
