its a shame that all the high profile position he occupied, his people cannot boost of any benefit from him, he had rather benefited his own pocket. the game of politic is slowly changing in Nigeria, so politician will realize they own service to the people

Re: David Mark Pressurized To Step Down Against Senatorial Rerun by andyanders: 4:30pm On Jan 24, 2016
David Mark has no shame at all. Having served as a senate president for 8yrs, what again is he still looking for as a floor member? He has made money from the system and I believe he is still hanging in there is to avoid probe or for Dasukigate breeze not to catch him.

Maybe when they are scanning Dasuki for the 3rd and 4th time, they can dictate other virus like Markgate.

Why are our politicians this shortsighted?
All indices are pointing towards a shameful defeat yet he would not do the honourable thing to step down.
Let the Benue south people come out in their numbers to take responsibility for their future by giving the young man Daniel overwhelming support.
When will the youth ever get the chance to lead in their fatherland?

Hahaha, if the APC candidate is so popular and David mark has performed so badly, why are they (APC and her supporters) afraid of the polls. Go ahead and embarrass David then.

The Fact of this rerun is the battle of control of Benue politics at the national level between David Mark and George Akume, Onjege is just a stooge.

Since the return to democracy, the Idomas have been marginalised at the state level due to the numerical strength of the Tivs while all attempt to replicate that at the national level has met a brick wall in David Mark.

It will be a sorry story for the Idomas if they foolishly vote for APC in this rerun because, it will become a lose lose situation on all front and Akume will become the undisputed political godfather of Benue state
stop playing politics like war. You are still not fit for modern civilization. IGBO MAN IS REPRESENTING A CONSTITUENCY IN UK, DOES THAT GIVE HIM PERMISSION TO EMPOWER ONLY BLACKS OR IGBOS IN HIS CONSTITUENCY?

WAKE UP AND GROW UP.
I dont care who wins cos im not from that state but your idea is very SHAMEFUL FOR 2016.

they're even helping him by advising him to step down to avert being disgraced at the polls because he will definitely be disgraced if he doesn't step down. this is not a PDP era where he can rig to his favor.

I've heard a lot of people saying this. Well, this is my constituency though I don't know much about what goes on there. Mark at federal level to me now is as useless the the letter "K" in knife because he is now a common floor member, he is in the minority party in the senate and he is an opposition to APC led Federal government. Can you tell me what influence he has currently? What did he do when he was senate president for 8 years, high ranking senator for 16 years, member of the ruling party since 1999, etc. His campaign should be based on the strength of his achievements. If he has done so well I wonder why a boy who is probably younger than his last son is giving him a run for his money. The Dan Onjeh I know as SUG president back in FUT minna cannot be anybody's stooge. That boy is stubbornness personified. After all said and done, the the better candidate win. Like I said that's my native constituency but I know little about their politics.

[quote author=GreatAgb post=42283878]Who is a political god father? Is it not the person that determines who get what? As far as Benue politics is concerned, Sen. Akume made Dr. Suswam a governor. Even with Sen. Mark as a sitting senate president, Sen. Akume still made Dr. Ortom governor and facilitated APC take over of Benue state.

Senators are elected to represent their constituencies, with Sen. Mark eight years of senate presidency, no development came to Benue south, you can visit Sen. Ekwerenmadu's constituency to know what is quality representation.

With Sen. Mark's eight years as senate president, he never controlled Benue politics as a godfather, I wonder how he will be godfather of Benue politics as an opposition floor member in the senate.

Sir/ma, kindly allow this old man to go and face post election embarrassement, since he has refused to listen to his people who are advising him to opt out of rerun election...right men know the best time to leave a particular place at the right time....But our senoir brother david mark has refused to leave senate so let him face the consequence of disobedience

You are not from the state and you want to decides for those DMark is representing. Mr modern civilization, we know what we have gone through at the state level because of those TIVs (Akume, suswam et al.) Thank God for Mark at the federal level which made Idomas (Benue south) to forget about state govt affairs.

I don't even need to give you any detailed explanation because you can contribute nothing to this re-run than to spew thrash.

Your hatred and bitterness can not decide DMark re-election.
