Obafemi Awolowo University Dean Student Affairs (DSA) made a release yesterday with the part "Education is for those that can afford it" boldly written. Is she right? If she is right then it implies that Education is now for the rich.

She is right. May God provide for us.
To acquire sound education, it requires sacrifices and discipline.

Everyone knows that education is expensive but to hike the tuition fee beyond the reach of what common man can afford whose salary is in the region of #18,000 minimum wage is totally outrageous, how do u expect to send their children to school?

She is absolutely wrong.

No matter how we see it, it's a true assertion. Even schools with low tuition have other means of recouping their money. But my problem is that we are short changed because we are not given the true value for the money we spend. Sub standard and half-baked graduates are produced by our sub standard money hungry lecturers

Absolutely Wrong! Poor people with rich brains can get scholarships or loan to study anywhere. Therefore, we could say education is meant for those who are interested to be educated.

For example many years ago, I desired to get a skill from NIIT but I couldn't afford it, guess what ? my parents took a loan so I went to NIIT to study for ccna and a+

Why did I said so, a reasonable government should strive to educate it's citizens, physically, morally, educationally, religiously, financially and otherwise because it will reduce some social vices crimes and ills, when you citizens is educated they make reasonable choices and support the government.
