I am deeply sorry i have been MIA for a year plus now.
Quick update!

In my last post in 2013 i stated that i was pregnant but unfortunately some months after i lost the baby as usual. That experience shook me such that my enemy almost landed in Yaba left. That was one of the reasons i had to stay away from anything TTC. Anyways i survived and had my handsome baby boy in 2014 and God is faithful everything went well. God has since open doors for more to come.....

I just want to commend everyone despite all odds who kept this thread alive. I miss my Nairaland big family, the mothers with a great heart. The bond we share was so strong that it can actually be felt.

@Ayashow dear, God has answered u already sis. I started TTC september last year though I had no serious health issue excpt for Staph infectn, Dh and I treated ourselves yet nothn happened. Like u I also fasted, prayed, visited the blessed sacrament cos I'm a catholic. Prayed the rosary everyday, attended weekly mass even cried secretly at home when I'm alone. Guess what? In december I gave up on TTC, I bd during ovulation but jst because Dh wanted it. Travelled for xmas without pad with hope I 'uld get one in the village, that was the month I conceived without knowing. I even drink beer for village self cos I wasn't trying. Now I knew that anxiety can prevent conception. So cheer up sis, if God did it for me he 'll surely do it for all ATC mom on this thread.

Don't blame your parents, they are also under pressure. I've had harsh comments coming from my mum than any other person, i cry and suck it in. She will go from one mountain to the other, shes almost clocking 70 and goes on fasting and prayer spree simply because she wants results, we advised her to relax recently but at times, her questions can be hurtful, I know she loves me.

I will advise that you forgive them, if you wish, when you are calmer, discuss with them.

I shared my own story on IVF/IUI thread. Its not an easy journey but the grace of God has kept me going. I don't believe that God has not heard our prayer, he has heard, keep on asking/knocking/praising Him until he answers.

In between, have you investigated/addressed/treated the cause of the delay? If yes, don't give up. You are in my prayers.

Because one of the main symptoms of hyperthyroidism is heart palpitations, many herbalists suggest Motherwort for treating hyperthyroidism. Hyperthyroidism may lead to infertility if not taken care of.

Triple Goddess Blend for Ovarian Cysts
Famous western herbalist Susun S. Weed, swears by a wonderful blend of 3 herbs she calls the Triple Goddess, for reducing ovarian cyst. This tincture blend is a Traditional Chinese Medicine blend. Equal parts of tincture made form fresh flowering tops of Maidenwort (Stellaria media), Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) and Cronewort also known as Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris). She suggests 1-2 dropperfuls, 3 times a day to dissolve ovarian cysts.

Nicholas Culpepper 1616-1654 said, “there is no better herb to drive away melancholy vapours from the heart, to strengthen it and make the mind cheerful.” Culpepper is famous among herbalists as a wonderful botanist, herbalist and herbal educator. He wrote many herbal books including Complete Herbal.

Traditional Suggested Useage of Motherwort

Motherwort has a very bitter taste and is most often tinctured into a liquid extract. It also is nice taken as a vinegar. Some brave people who love bitters do like to place a bit of this herb in an infusion.

Those who dare to drink this as an infusion: 1-2 tsp. of dried herb to 1 cup of water. Cover with boiling water, steep for 10-15 minutes. Drink 3 cups a day.

Dosage of liquid extract: 5-25 drops a day, 3 times a day.

Dosage of liquid extract for painful periods and PMS: 10-25 drops every 5 minutes and then every 2 hours, for next few days, or until pain has subsided. This method should only need to be used this way for up to 4 months in a row.

If you are trying to conceive, it may be best to only use this herb as needed. If you suspect pregnancy, avoid this herb. *Do not use this herb into pregnancy because it has a uterine tonic and effect, stimulating mild uterine contractions. It is best used in preparation and healing prior to pregnancy. Motherwort is best not used during heavy menstrual bleeding, unless advised by a qualified herbalist or naturopathic doctor.
