What trash is the op writing abt using yoruba to teach the student,i served in anambra state,Nimo girls secondary school Njikoka, dere teachers also used Igbo to teach student in classes,d only time u see d teachers speaking English is when they are communicating with the corpers, or is it one of the student dat got pregnant and d mother aborted it for her and she resumed back to school d next term,or is it the way dere youth attack corpers . We were even told few years to the time we were posted to that school, the community youth went to rape d corpers on dere pop nite, dey warned us to be vry careful in the environment, and wen I was serving dere dey robbed hell out of the corpers, vry lawless children. Did I forget to mention dey don't beat there student, rotten student that even exchange words with dere teachers sometimes. Dear op pls shut d hell up 5 Likes |

[quote author=Justcash post=42388467]I am Igbo too and served in Ogun state many years ago. I served in a thick village called Ipokia. The acute lack of English communication was a permanent feature of the place. I saw lots of thirsty native males that were ready to jujurize me if I ever looked at their females. I had lots of females that wanted a piece of me but couldn't. callMeAlpha: I suggest you shut your stuuuuupid mouth and thoughtlessness brain up! I suspect you are mentally blind, hence your inability to read and understand well. Re-read my comment and you will ask yourself why your parents didn't use condom or evacuation to prevent your unfruitful existence. You want to abuse? Then be my guest! |

Well done Op, You gave yourself to those kids, selfless, willing to go all the way, to do for them, what their own wouldn't want to, for selfish reasons You left a lasting impression in their hearts, a reasonable number should have been brushed up by now, to a very good extent, That, there is the whole essence of the NYSC scheme, the opportunity to serve selflessly, to develop lives/environments completely strange to you, it is a selfless adventure Reminds me of my time in the North-West, Most people don't even give a damn what the situation is with the kids and where the challenges are in their schools, And the truth of the matter is, its everywhere, from North -south- east and west, its a National problem, one to be tackled headlong, collectively, with all sense of purpose There's a lot of mess in rural areas, from education to health to hygiene, generated by aborigenes who are supposedly naturally responsible for tidying up these areas, For the tribalistic ones, you will need a lot of time to catch up with reality. 6 Likes |
