Only Fabregas of that lot is in the same category of spotting the first time pass. The others are not in the same field of vision as Lampard and Fab4. I believe you saw Rakitic at Sevilla, he isn't just about the possessional play. Kroos and Modric are neither new to the skill too.

These are guys who play with their head up. They study their surrounding and the weight of their pass.

In truth, virtually every midfielder can hit the first time pass, all you need is that good good vision and sublime control.

Modric does not have that range of vision at all. He barely even registers assists.

At that level I can only class likes of Pirlo, Fab4, Xavi and De Bruyne in that category of vision.

His long passes are so awesome, you would even think Pirlo is on the field! His Vision is class! His distributions are almost always perfect, and he is not Lazy like Fabregas.

I would take Luka Modric in my midfield ahead of all these players you guys have mentioned. Maybe the former less exhausted Fab4 is preferable but not this one playing like a pensioner AND definitely not Rakitic who is his junior brother.
Ozil and KdB are great creators but need a solid base in midfield behind them for them to be at their best. Luke can solve multiple problems in midfield that is why I rate him so highly
