A 12 man gang that specialized in kidnappings in Akwa Ibom State with particular focus of activities on Oruk Anam LGA has been arrested by the Nigerian police.

The 12 all-man gang was paraded before press men yesterday, Thursday 28th January at the State police headquarters. Some of them confessed to the media to the crimes they were arrested for and admitted to being culpable.

Vivian Gist was quick to grab these pictures credited to Channels TV, to enlighten the Akwa Ibom public who have lately been seized by terror from sudden resurgence of kidnappings and armed robbery.

What is the motivation behind majority of our youths getting involved with crimes.
Should I say our nation needs prayers
Where churches and mosques surround our homes
What should be a presumed solution to this crime infested generations of today.. if we fold our arms like it doesn't concern us we might be victims tomorrow

My friend, it's d rot n decay in our society dat is staring @ us in d face, d I don't care attitude we portray wen we see tins goin wrong , our african traditions explain dat it's a community dat trains a child, but we left dat mantra n followed d everyman for himsef God for all of us mantra, now d child we didn't stand for wen his parents died while he was young has come to hunt us.

I suggest we look bak n check were we slipped n not were we fell. We need to build communities n carry every one along, I believe in God though.
