The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Mr. Ricky Tarfa (SAN) for alleged obstruction of clients arrest at the Lagos state High Court, Igbosere. The arrest of Ricky Tarfa and his Republic of Benin clients, Daily Sun learnt was dramatic after over four hours stalemate. EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren confirmed the arrest, saying that Ricky Tafa was arrested for obstructing investigation and arrest of criminal suspects.

Tarfa is one of the most corrupt lawyers in this country. He has been facilitating the bribing of judges including Judge Tijani who collected 40m naira for one seating on an ex corrupt governors trial at Federal High Court in Ikoyi. This happened in April of 2008. After which Judge Tijani was transferred to Port Harcourt instead of being prosecuted.
